Hi Tanj,
FSX has a bug in its Simconnect module, which is likely behind your problems. It is a very annoying bug that affects any addons that use the Simconnect module, but some of our users found a solution by editing the Windows Registry. Are you comfortable doing this? Editing the Registry requires some computer knowledge as it can complete wreck your operating system if you make a mistake.
Best, Peter

I've locked this topic as it's been quite busy over the past few years, and it's tough to parse out individual issues....

About a month ago, a Captain reported the "Flight Simulator has reported a problem with a third-party software program..." problem. Working with him since then we were able to develop a simply Registry Fixer utility that edits this Windows Registry location - removing the faulty condition that prevents the FSCaptain.dll from loading into FSX.
Once 1.8.0 Beta 4 is launched, I will work on a README and we will post this FSCaptain Registry Fixer here in the forum.
Regards,
