If you need to contact us by email - to perhaps send a file privately - you can do so at these woefully spambot-proofed addresses:
dutch at fscaptain dot net
and
travis at fscaptain dot net
and
peter at fscaptain dot net
... using the correct keyboard symbols for "at" and "dot" naturally.
We may need certain flight log files that FSCaptain generates. They could be:
- ADMIN Log - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Logs\ starting with the name ADMIN, then a timestamp, then .LOG.
- FCDU Log - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Logs\ starting with the name FCDU, then a timestamp, then .LOG. (If you're running the FCOM and not the FCDU, then you would use the FCOM logs.)
- FSCAPTAIN Log - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Logs\ starting with the name FCDU, then a timestamp, then .LOG.
Please note that the timestamps may not agree with one another, as these logs are written and closed at different points in your flight.
Some other flight files that we may need are:
- Manifest Log - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Manifests\ starting with your airline's name, the word manifest, your flight number, your destination airport ID, then .txt
- Release - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Manifests\ starting with your airline's name, the word release, your flight number, your destination airport ID, then .txt
- Preflight log - found in \FSCaptain\Data\Manifests\ starting with your airline's name, the word preflight, your flight number, your destination airport ID, then .txt
Finally, if we need to debug airport or runway or parking data we might need your:
- Airport database - found in \FSCaptain\Config, and named airports.cfg.
- Parking database - found in the root folder of your simulator and named g5.csv.
- Runways database - found in the root folder of your simulator and named r5.csv.
We will let you know what we may need once we've started with your flight log files.
Thanks,
