Angel,
I'm almost over a minor case of "creeping crud (with fever)" and I have your files and will look into this... likely on my Monday.

Thanks Travis and Peter.
Ok, checking FSCaptain yesterday, I discover a little issue, not sure if that can be make some type of aditional problems or can help you, but when I install FSC (old freeware version or actual "crash" version) and enter on the simulator to fly (old freeware version, the other crash), others of my programs to FSX: SE "crashed" (not traffic show into the simulator), that program is Ultimate Traffic 2. Not sure if FSC and UT2 make conflict one with the other. If I unninstal FSP and rebuild the UT2 databases, that work properly.

Angel,
Neither of us uses Ultimate Traffic, but I can't imagine why there should be a conflict.
There was never a "freeware" version of FSCaptain. Each version can be "unlicensed" or "licensed" and the only difference between them are the ability to take off from any airport (licensed) or from a limited number of airports (unlicensed - and which was formerly was three airports, but now is six airports).

Hi Angel,
I used UT2 when I still was on FSX, but now with P3D I switched to My Traffic 6. UT2 manages traffic outside of FSX, and I am fairly certain that this happens by using Simconnect. MT6, on the other hand, just creates a bunch of scenery files and let's the simulator take charge of how to handle those.
I could imagine that your problems arrive from a timing issue, where UT2 and FSCaptain fight about access to the Simconnect interface. To test this, you could use UT2 with a very low traffic percentage and see if that helps to avoid the problem. If yes, it is likely that this is indeed a timing problem.
Best, Peter

Hi all
Travis, by "freeware" I talk about "unlicensed" version. I expected purchase FSCaptain in the future if I can resolve the issue with FSX: SE. Peter, actualy my configuration of UT2 has 100% airline traffic and only 5% private traffic. I go to make a new install of FSC to see what happens.
Do you have some plans to convert FSCaptain to access to FSX / P3D by FSuipc vs Simconnect in the future? I think can be resolve timing problems with other applications.

Hi Angel,
I would check what happens if you only have 5% of both types of traffic.
There has been a debate about using FSUIPC, but such plans are still in their very early stages.
Cheers, Peter

This would be a huge change and would require its own Beta cycle with no other core changes. Then too we would need to keep some SimConnect-based items in place for things that can't be done in FS9... mostly in the area of loading fuel & cargo.

David,
Are there any other details of this message that you could supply?? (Screenshot or event log entry.)
I've just installed 1.7.2 Beta into a new FS9.1 (on Vista 64) and it runs well.
Just to confirm though... do you have an FSCaptain.dll in your \Modules\ folder in FS9? It would be of a different size than the FSCaptain.dll that is in your \FSCaptain\bin\ folder - they're two different project builds.

First of all thanks Travis for your response. I'll try to unistall 1.7.1 and install the 1.7.2 Beta in my FS9.1, is necessary to erase all the files? By the way do you know how to get an event log entry, thanks or what kind of picture, because my FS9.1 is a french version.

David,
The 1.7.2 Beta 2 version should be available publically early next week.
And no, you would not need to remove any files - the Fixpacks will overwrite anything that is necessary.
I'm still not certain what the error you are seeing is - if you run FS9 again and see an error message, you could use PrtScn to capture a screenshot and then paste it into an image editor (Paint, or Paint.Net, etc.)
If it's a Windows exception, then you would use the Administrative Tools - Event Viewer to view the Windows Application Log.

David,
You are correct sir... my less than eagle-eye sees that is indeed French.
... and that's a generic error. Google Translate turns it into "Flight Simulator could not load a device or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator, but this or that software will be disabled."
I will need to do some deep study to try and determine what the cause might be. I may even have to hand this off to Dutch.... ---
I'll ask for any other FS9 Captain who uses a non-US/English version to supply us with any similar issue. Can you not run newer versions of FSCaptain??
Regards,

David, I am sorry but I have no other news for you. That is such a general error (and it is not one that I am familiar with) that I do not know where to look. Since you are running a "modern" version of Windows, can you email us some screenshots of any Windows Application Event Log entries for these crashes? For example, this one of mine from a few days ago...
