Jenstt, From my experience, FSrealWX (freeware and beta) is currently susceptible to the flaw from Prepare3D 2.0 which renders the Outside Air Temperature of an aircraft in the realm of 50C+. There is very little than a simulator client such as FSCaptain can do other than to ask the simulator for the current weather conditions, and then to accept what the simulator posits. If the simulator tells us that it's 5 degrees... then it's 5 degrees. Likewise... in opposition... if the simulator says it's 75 degrees... well, it's 75 degrees and we're sorry.

Winds aloft do not load from AS2012 weather file if administrator is started from add-on menu. They work fine if administrator is started externally from Windows start menu. I can reliably reproduce this one. If you need a sequence, let me know.

That's not surprising, Windows is funny about processes starting other processes in admin mode, it can stop them from being able to communicate. Just make sure everything you want to run together all has the same rights enabled, i.e. run everything with admin rights or run everything WITHOUT admin rights. If you try to mix both states Windows will block communication.

Well. It seems i can never get Winds aloft data. Or at least, if i'm very lucky, i get it once in ten flights. Doesn't matter if i try to get it from Admin outside my Prepar3d V2, or from ACARS. It also doesn't matter if i try with admin rights on Windows, or with the whole Windows UAC shut down. But REX Essential shows the data in it's own window.

I have the same issues as Svilen with the Majestic Dash 8 v 1.008. The co-pilot announces a flame out during t/o even though everything is just fine.

Captains, The narratives that you provide here are helpful, but if you would please also email us your logs - either the ADMIN (for planning) or FCOM / FCDU when in flight, they might provide some clues as to why what happened happened. Several previously sent logs have already helped Dutch isolate other problems.

Any news about an update/hotfix? Things like no gates in P3D are really annoying..

Dutch has been working on an update, but an illness (see this thread) currently prevents him from progressing. Naturally it is hard to tell when this will change. Peter

Is it normal that I always get 'gate not assigned' in every airport? And yes i've checked the options in administrator and ran Makerunways.exe newest version.. (P3D V2.1)

Hi all,
I just spent some considerable time trying to find why I can't set the weather options, only to find the CTD is a bug:(
"Crash to desktop when clicking on "Weather Options" button. [Verified, fixed."
Where can I find this fix for it?

Dutch means that it's fixed in the build of 1.5.1 that he's working on. Whenever that sees the light of day is anyone's guess given the absence of Dutch and Travis from the board. Sad to say, this brilliant application is drifting without any timely support at the moment, so don't hold your breath.

I'm amazed they can have a CTD bug open like that leaving out features and then just drop it. It's selling on all these sites and with good reviews. One should not earn money selling stuff not working. These one man shows are certainly high risk purchases, FSUIPC excepted;).
Anyway thanks Andy for letting me know. I won't dig deeper into the manual to learn more as I don't know what's missing next.

It is simple math ... 2 man team, 1 dev ... 1 out sick = 50% loss of work force..
I wish both of them well and don't have ANY issues with slow going.. There are few who can say they produce what Dutch and Travis do when they are both at 100% ....
Get well and don't worry about things you can't change... if you need me to purchase FSC again you will get my support ....

Jim, I think people understand the reasons, and are as fully supportive as can be. That doesn't change the fact that there's a brilliant app, an enthusiastic community and a continuing market for FSC, but that the developer is unable to support it actively and appropriately. I, too, wish them both well, but I also wish the problems I and others have had could be addressed. That doesn't signify a lack of support from the community.
It does reveal frustration, which is also understandable.

SHSHSHSH!!!! Be vewy vewy qwiet.... Travis and Dutch may feel the need to start a project team with hourly updates and soon find themselves in constant meetings to endlessly discuss the lack of progress in developement... :-)
In the mean time perhaps a small lack of functionality is not a real show stopper in using FSC ...
