I have one question about speedcalls... I did them for 727. Everything is done except "x" value which is Vref. I don't understand how exactly this works.. For example.. Vref for weight 120000 is 117.. what does that mean.. 120000 landing weight? So, where do I put it in the list? Under 120000? But that's takeoff weight, landing won't be 120000, it's going to be less than that.. I may be missing something here but I hope you see my dilemma.

I put those speedcalls in B721.cfg (I flew 721-100F... there is no 721F.cfg) but didn't hear anything. The first thing was "Positive rate". I'm still waiting to hear those calls (Lvd767, AirbusX, J41, Citation Mustang, CaptainSim 727,..)

Here are the speedcalls for Airbus A320. I still don't know if I'm doing it right and what's the deal with Vref. Hopefully someone could answer that.

Nobody cares about speedcalls? Are you all using default a/c? Hi 0artur0, I can only speak for myself. I fly the J41, but also use FS2Crew, so I always disable FO and thats what the speedcalls are for, right? Michael

I know, FS2Crew and some addons have their own FO. Speedcalls are V1 Vr V2 calls by FO.

Thanks for this thread - I'll add in the speedcalls data soon and see how they play out. I've started using FS2Crew m'self and I found that when I disabled the FSCaptain F/O I would receive a "No Landing Alert" and "No Takeoff Alert" penalty. So now I fly with 2 chatty FOs. I just assume someone's always deadheading....

Not to Hijack the thread but since both of you are using the PMDG J41 can you tell me if your having problems hearing your F/O and attendants when the engines are running?

Yep, I hear them too on the headset.. but those engines are LOUD. I have heard that PMDG will lower the volume a notch in the next patch. Michael

I can barely hear ATC (stock or RC) with my J41's engines at 100% volume. I think I keep them set to 25-30%... something very low anyways. (I find it also helps to click the "Post" button in a forum... )

Mr. Dutch, I'd still like to know what to put into "x" value... please see my first post.
Does anybody know when to expect this SP for PMDG J41?
