Jose & Luc,
These implementations have been released to testers of 1.8.0 Alpha 1.
The voices (and music) can be muted, plus the voices can be imprinted onscreen either as a transcript of the words or as a 'generic' description of what's being said.

FSAdmin does not show up on the task bar. You have to move all the other open windows out of the way to get to FSAdmin. It would be nice if it followed the regular windows pattern and appear on the task bar.

That's nice... and that's what we want to do, but.... The Admin originally was designed to be called from the simulator, so Dutch took a path that makes it not a "dialog box" which would appear on the task bar. We will all have to wait for FSCaptain 2.0 for a revamp of the Admin. Sources tell me that it will no longer be battleship grey.... Best,

I'm not sure if this is already implemented in the "I'll be back" feature (I don't see that option anyway when flying PMDG 747v3), but in case of a emergency the game would pause? I've started doing lots of long hauls over the night (me sleeping during cruise) and lets say that there's a mechanical fault during the flight. Imagine me yelling at the FO that he didn't bother to wake me up even thought we lost all engines or actually don't, because we'd all be dead by the time I get back. Thanks, -Jon

Hi Jon,
That's one of the reasons that we've implemented I'll Be Back! FSCaptain emergencies will pause the sim if I'll Be Back is engaged. Hit some birds at FL300, have smoke in the cabin, have a medical issue in the cabin... the sim should pause.
We currently don't differentiate all the possible types of "emergencies" so you would only have "A/C Emergency" displayed on the FCDU. It's up to you to determine what's happened. (In all fairness, you were away at the time.... )
Beta 4 should be aware of the PMDG 747v2's autopilot. (I'm not aware of the PMDG 747 v3, but then again I'm slow....)
If you're flying an aircraft in Beta 4 and cannot have its autopilot recognized by I'll Be Back, then set your aircraft's autopilot as INOP in your aircraft's FSCaptain configuration file.
Or run LINDA and give us an LVAR & its values so we can determine if an aircraft's autopilot is enabled.

Hi, Travis
Version v3 is PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II. Maybe the numbers just throwing you off. It's their third product covering the 747.
If it's alreaday in there, where would I find it? Didn't see it on the main page during flight.
Who's LINDA?

Didn't see it on the main page during flight. That data made it too late to be used in Beta 4 - it's already in Beta 5 though. Sorry for the mix-up. FS LINDA (Lua Integrated Non-complex Device Assigning) is a utility which requires a registered FSUIPC and either FSX or P3D.
LINDA's primary use for FSCaptain development is to identify LVARs and their values (and to test setting LVARs).
I use it also to help drive my VRinsight MCPII (Boeing) panel with Lua scripts for buttons, switches and rotator controls.

I'll be waiting for BETA 5 then. Lots of shorter routes to fly in the mean time Thanks

I've set the AP as INOP in the admin. Thanks

Hi Jon,
I'll be back is only available if you are using the autopilot. Without it, it won't be offered.
Cheers, Peter

If I did my maths correctly, by declaring the autopilot as INOP, we should act as if it's always on.
Jon, once you've made it to altitude and your speed has settled, (your FCDU should indicate that you're "Enroute" and not in "Climb" or in "Descent") press the MENU key and then select the COCKPIT LSK. On the bottom right of that screen, you should see the option.
If it's greyed out, something's not set correctly. In this case there will be extra letters to indicate what's blocking things. (-A stands for 'autopilot,' -E stands for 'not enroute,' and -K stands for 'too low').
Best,

Jon,
One other thing... have you tested whether or not Beta 6 detects your autopilot? I see that I did make an attempt a few weeks ago to detect the new 747's autopilot.
To test, clear that INOP declaration and go to the SYSTEMS screen that indicates the Autopilot signal.
Best,

Oh that's where it's located just couldn't find the "I'll be back" button before. So I unchecked AP INOP and did a flight. The button was grayed out with an A at the end. So it didn't recognize the AP? Forgot to check the Systems screen. Thanks
