When starting up FS9 with the the 1.84 update I'm getting this message:
"Flight Simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using Flight Simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled File: FSCaptain.dll.

Hello, Initial FS9 Tester! The message you mention rings a distant bell. Please give me a few hours to do some searching and navel gazing, and I'll be back with something hopefully more than a WAG. Best,

Okay, that message you posted seems to be an old Flight Sim message that could be caused if a gauge makes a call to a DLL that's missing. Now I'm assuming that before you installed the 1.8.4 Alpha update, your FS9 and FSCaptain were working well together. Everything was in place and everything behaved as it should. So getting back to what this message seems to be pointing at, I'd first ask if you can look in your FS9\Modules\ folder to see if there's an FSCaptain.dll with the date of November 23, 2023. If there's not a DLL with that date, please now look into your FS9\FSCaptain\Simulator-Modules\ to see if there's an FSCaptain.dll with the date of November 23, 2023. If there is, then please copy that DLL over into your FS9\Modules folder while the simulator is not running. If you have an updated FSCaptain.dll in both locations, then I need to test that it's the correct one. (I build FS9, and SimConnect-32 and -64 dlls at the same time.) I've just explicitly rebuilt the FS9 DLL, and placed it into a ZIP file here: www.fscaptain.net/downloads/000005Oo/FSCaptain184DLL-FS9.zipPlease download it and copy the DLL into your FS9\Modules folder (again, while the simulator is not running) and see if it works. If it doesn't work, then I have to admit being stumped for the near future. Best,

Big sigh of relief from here. I'll update the ZIP in my evening. Thanks for the report! Best,
