Hi I was wondering if I'd be able to use the activation key that I will get if I purchase the current version with the new version that will be released in the future? In other words, do I have to buy the full version for each version separately? Thanks

Hello Capflysim,
Travis would be the one who will decide about this in the future. However, if you bought a copy of FSCaptain in 2009 when it was first released, you would still get free updates, and even get free copies of FSCaptain for more modern simulators. I have no indication that this policy would be changed.
Cheers, Peter

CapFlySim, You'll never have to pay anything more to get any of our updates for FS9, FSX, or P3D 2-5. (And perhaps P3D6... I haven't had time to look at it.) ----------
If anyone purchases a license for FSCaptain in the next year or twenty, then they will be eligible for free updates for as long as we can continue to make them. That was Dutch's credo when he started FSCaptain, and I cannot see how I could ever change that. And when I depart this mortal coil, I would haunt anyone who tried to do differently. The only exception to this would be if we began to support something different like MSFS-2020 (or MSFS-2023, etc.) which is sold through a separate "storefront." If and When we get to that point, we may need to hire additional help and thus need to compensate them. I do not know what's needed now, but I hope to know more when we're done with 1.8.4. Best,
