I have tried changing the Load Factor in the Airline Definitions to various numbers between 1 & 99, and also as per a post I read, I changed the PAYLOAD_VARIANCE up to 25. However, the Load Factor is always 17% on the Flight Dispatch page.
I am trying to get my flight pax loads to be around 70-75% of max capacity. Currently, for example, I am only getting roughly 40-80 pax for 737-800 and 60-130 pax for a 777-200.
What can I change to accomplish this?
Edited to add: I am using 1.8.3. Also, my reputation is only 30, just starting my airline. I realize things are different if you use the economic mode. Having just started with the economic mode, my airline has a low reputation. I would prefer to be an already established airline with at least average reputation. Is this possible?

Hello Geedub,
I believe setting the load factor directly is not possible if you use the economic mode. However, you could lower your ticket prices or increase the ticket prices of the competition. The effect may not be immediate, but if your reputation gets higher, you should then see the load factor grow.

Hey, Peter,
Thanks for the tip. I'll try increasing competition's ticket prices and see what happens.
Does FSCaptain, in economy mode, dock your reputation if you delete a committed flight? I am still in the experimentation phase and was trying to get PFPX and FSCaptain payload figures to match and deleted the committed flight within the Flight Log screen to work on another aircraft type. It was after this point that I noticed the pax numbers drastically declined.
Is there any easy way to restart a career & airline to avoid these issues and allow me to finish adjusting things to my liking? Wishful thinking?
Kindest regards,
Glenn

Hello Glenn! What you're describing is normal, so no worries. Dutch intended for Economic Mode to run as you are experiencing... a new airline starts off with low Load Factors, and as long as the Captain makes good flights (with good scores), their airline's Load Factor will increase. IIRC, the maximum Load Factor is 70 or so. I have a flawless reputation with my primary airline ( ahem), and if I try a <2 hour flight in a jetliner, I will not have a full PAX load. However.... You don't have to start Economic Mode with an initial low reputation. Try starting your airline outside of Economic Mode, and make some flights to build up your "reputation." Then when you feel it's time to enable EM, do so. So if you want to keep your airline's configuration as it is, you can delete any / all of the flights you like and then disable EM simply by adding ".DISABLE" to your airline's "_Competition" and "_Economics" filenames. (I believe doing that would disable EM....) You could then re-enable EM when you feel you're ready.
In any event, you can delete any / all flights as you prefer... there's no shame nor loss in doing so. FSCaptain does not "remember" deleted flights. (Always remember that FSCaptain is not a competition. Please... no wagering.) Best regards,
