Any idea on how to make it work? (if that's even possible)
It's not a big deal, but having weather in FCDU would be nice.

Hello Phoenix,
welcome to the FSCaptain forum. The FCDU uses whatever weather you have in the sim. It automatically detects the weather around your airplane, regardless of whether that is default weather or any weather engine. Hence, FSXWX should be fine while you are flying.
Flight planning with the Administrator is a different matter. It needs a global weather snapshot, a file that is provided by most weather engines. I had a look at the FSXWX, it doesn't appear to provide such a file. You can still use the Administrator for dispatch, but time and fuel estimates in the flight briefing document will not take into account winds. As a workaround, you could plan your flight in Simbrief as well and enter fuel and estimated flight time manually while using dispatch. Alternatively, you could use one of the supported weather engines. To see a list, open the Administrator, go to "profiles and settings" and click on "weather and hazards".
Cheers, Peter

Thanks! I thought maybe FSXWX has the same architecture as one of the supported engines, but it seems not to be the case.
FCDU weather works after I reinstalled WX. Nice.
