When I run FSC Admin I get a series of errors as follows :- I've done a fresh Windows 10 install (all drivers in & windows updated), followed by P3D v5.3, Alpha India AI Traffic, GSX 1 & 2, and then FSCaptain 1.83 full installer from the link on the front page.
I ran MakeRwys manually and this is the first entry of Runways.CFG :- Make Runways File: Version 5.129 by Pete Dowson FS version code =#6 Using "LorbySceneryExport.exe MakeRwys_Scenery.cfg" ... ERROR: failed to run Lorby program, error=740! Reading Prepar3D v5 scenery: The CFG file being used is: "C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\SCENERY.CFG" 132 scenery layers to be processed
I'm a bit suspicious of that error message. LorbySceneryExport and MakeRwys are both in the root of F:\Prepar3d v5. Have I missed a step?

Hello Kardeck, Open your \FSCaptain\Config\profile.cfg file and search for a line which begins with "MRROOT" If you find such a line, it should contain a value that is equal to your "FSROOT" and "SOROOT" lines. As an example: FSROOT=F:\Prepar3d v5\ SOROOT=F:\Prepar3d v5\ MRROOT=F:\Prepar3d v5\ If you don't have an "MRROOT" line, then please copy one of your other lines and rename it as "MRROOT". Your Administrator should then function as it is supposed to. Please let us know if this works for you or if it doesn't. Also, please do not post your profile.cfg file in the forum - it contains your license key information. You may email it to us if you wish.
----------------- Separately, in regards to these lines from your Runways.cfg file...
Using "LorbySceneryExport.exe MakeRwys_Scenery.cfg" ... ERROR: failed to run Lorby program, error=740! Please ensure that you are running your FSCaptain Administrator "as Administrator". You may need to adjust the program's Preferences | Compatibility settings to do so.
Best regards,

That fixed it, thanks Travis.
The MRROOT entry was missing, simple fix. And sorry about the cfg file.

No problem Kardeck; I'm the one who's sorry for not guarding against that happening!
I'll look to work a code fix into the Administrator, test that next week, and re-release everything over the following weekend. ------------
Our installer program doesn't allow for the "run as administrator" option to be selected, so I may add an instruction to the User Guide for new Captains to do so.
Best,
