Sometimes it is convenient if the estimated block time can be diminuished instead of increased (eg. in case of earlier departure, a shorter taxi route than expected etc.) In older versions I was able to correct the block time accordingly but the latest version gives me a strange error like "invalid minumum is 06433" which I dont even understand. Any help appreciated here regards draci

Hi Draci, That minimum time you noted - 06433 is totally bonkers. The value which is presented should be in the format of HHMM, so a five-digit value is - as I just noted - bonkers.
Could you please send me the FCDU and FSCaptain files where it appeared and I will look for a bug. ----- I'm assuming that you're running into a bad "minimum time allowed" to change the block time, as I WAG'ed in my last post on this. (WAG = Wild ASSumptive Guess.) Our method to determine the "minimum time allowed" has not changed in the past two years. This method checks your direct distance from your destination, and calculates a time based on your aircraft's configuration and the estimated taxi-in time. So I would still propose an option to allow a "lower minimum" for testing in the upcoming 1.8.3 SP1 tests. (With luck, there will be new Refresh Builds next weekend.) Perhaps 75% of the current calculated minimum would be sufficient?? I'm now able to both change code and to use my simulator, so if you can get me those log files in the next few days I will base my work on what I can see. Best regards,

Sorry for the late reply,
The log shows the problem at 11:55:
FCDU.EXE:: 11:55:53 INVALID - MIN IS 06433 -- Requested 3: 415
The Screenshot below shows what it looks like on the FCDU.

Hi Draci,
Thanks for the log file.
Oh my goodness. Fun With Faulty Formatting indeed!
This string: INVALID - MIN IS 06433
... wants to tell you that the minimum is "433 minutes". Ignore the first two digits - "06" here. (That happens to come from a different calculation and is loosely tied to another value's hours.) --------
Now as to that screenshot.... I guess it's from a different flight and I'd LOVE to see the log file there, but I've made some guesses as to why that appeared and I've hopefully dealt with them. (Alpha 1 will also include the Minimum ETE on that screen so you won't have to guess "how low I can go.")
--------
Anyhow... those bugs have been corrected, and I've previously added a "lower Min" and "higher Max" calculation. When you get Alpha 1 you can give it a test and see if my changes are worthwhile.
Best,

Hi Travis, thanky for your help once again. Yes, you're right. The screenshot is from today's flight and the log is from the flight last week. (I only fly on Thursdays which is my day-off work). The same problem arises on every flight anyway. Please excuse my ignorance, but I guess that "Alpha1" refers to the latest version you haven't released yet? When and how can I get it?

Hi Draci, You'll get an email from me in a few days (send me an email ASAP so I know that I have your current address). I'm working on tweaks and coding but I need other Captains to test that this build works for them as well as for me. Here's a snap of the FCDU that I made this afternoon showing the Max and Min Revision times allowed for me soon after takeoff.... Best,
