Hi, strange problem. Every time I change something in my FSX.cfg or install a new .dll (example new AC) I lost the FA and CO. The main features of FS Captain continues to work but CO and FA actions and sounds are missing. I only can fix it with a rebuild of the fsx.cfg. What may be the reason?
Thanks for help! Klaus

Hello Klaus,
that is a strange problem indeed, but I can imagine several reasons why this could happen. Can you send us (see blue link below) a zip file with your FSCaptain\Data\Log folder? Please send the email to all of us and copy the address of this thread into your message so that everyone on the FSCaptain team knows what the logs are for.
Cheers, Peter

This issue has been diagnosed, and plans for a fix are underway. Klaus' logs showed that he uses the FCDU.EXE, and would sometime start it before settling into the aircraft he would eventually use. His "default aircraft" was the stock FSX C172 without an FA, and the interface and load map we would assign him in those cases would not work well with his choice of a B763! No FA, etc. This disconnection is due to the fact that the original "gauge-only" FCDU checks only occurred once the simulator's flight had started, but starting the FCDU.EXE before the that had started would detect the "default aircraft" that the simulator had loaded. After Alpha 1 is released, I will work to add checks so that a change-of-aircraft can be detected, and correct load maps, interfaces, and override files will be used. Edited to add: Until then, don't start the FCDU.EXE until you are in the VC of the aircraft of your choice for your flight, and everything looks hunky-dory. Best,
