For those of you who want to check it out but not commit to purchasing it, you can get it through XBox Live for $1.00 (Plus Tax) for 30 days. Link (You MUST have Windows 10) This is both a good way to check it out and to see if your computer will run it. Just remember to cancel your subscription before 30 days is up or you will be billed a $4.99 (Plus tax) subscription fee each month. The Dawson brothers are also offering FSUIPC7 free until October: Link.

Thanks for the suggestion, Edakridge. Unfortunately, I already know that my system is way below minimum (I have an i3 processor). FSUIPC7 is free for now indeed, but not complete. I can't be because there are still many functions missing in the simulators Simconnect module. The same reason holds FSCaptain back from working with the new sim yet.
Cheers, Peter

I should download FSUIPC7 and see exactly what it does and doesn't do, but I know some things it can't do until SimConnect gets much more complete than it is now.
However: I have heard (but not verified) that using FSUIPC7 can cause a serious frame rate hit; because of bugs in the SimConnect implementation, it is believed.

I experienced that drastic loss of frame rate using FSUIPC7 too.

It would sure be nice to have the key/button remapping features in FSUIPC. I wish MSFS had simple ways to do what we have done with FSX/P3D for decades--simple button presses to effect fly-by, top-down, and open forward and side views.

You can download a beta copy of FSUIPC7 for MSFS completely free, and it does support button/key remapping.

Thanks Dutch! I guess it is suffering from SimConnect woes so I guess best wait a bit.

Thanks Dutch! I guess it is suffering from SimConnect woes so I guess best wait a bit. No longer true, the SimConnect bug that caused the FPS drop was fixed in patch #1. FSUIPC works fine now. It's not totally complete but has the assignments working. Dutch

Awesome thank you for that I will check it out! I continue to be blown away by MSFS. I took a motorcycle trip covering almost 10K miles in 2016 so I'm doing each leg in the TBM930. Day before yesterday I did the leg from Big Pine CA over the incredible magic carpet ride on the 168 to 95 in Nevada then down around Vegas and up to St George UT. I was just amazed at the approach into St George-it was so real that I wanted to get out of the plane and summon an Uber so I could go catch dinner at the restaurant we ate at on our moto ride! And this morning was the last leg into Denver area w/ incredible legs in between, starting at KGJT CO to KBJC, my now home airport. Just unbelieveable early morning flight it! I can't wait for a few better planes but the TBM is at least useable for IFR flights and is pretty decent in its own right--if I could only figure out how to get out of the dang thing as it doesn't appear to have....doors that open!

Awesome thank you for that I will check it out! I continue to be blown away by MSFS. Nice flight reporting!!! I finally got my MSFS C172 out of the ditch I had dropped it in, and I managed a keyboard-only flight over my house... and could count all of the solar panels on my roof. It's really stunning!
My next MSFS challenge is to get my CH Yoke / Rudder / Throttle controls working in MSFS so I can join along in the fun. f I could only figure out how to get out of the dang thing as it doesn't appear to have....doors that open! That's one of the issues that we've encountered. So as of now, Dutch and Peter are flying MSFS aircraft with all exits automagically marked as INOP, and the crew unable to open/close them. One other issue we've encountered is a very poor "payload loading" process. Our attempts at auto-loading payload items get close to the desired amount, but they always seem to be inexact. So Payload Loading may be another INOP item for our initial rollout. ----- Flight simming aside, I've got another 40C+ heatwave over my next 3-5 days, along with the possibility of wildfires / power outages. So after a spate of flying tests over my past 4-5 days, I'll spend the remainder of September working on recognizing the MSFS aircraft layout structure when I can. It's quite different from "Legacy MS-FS" in that other files aside from aircraft.cfg files can contain Load Station data. Dutch even found as MSFS aircraft that may not have an aircraft.cfg file whatsoever!
We are all in interesting times....
Best,

From what I have read there is no door command as such. (Shift+E,etc) The doors on the tubeliners open when the jetway is connected and the GA aircraft don't seem to have opening doors.

From what I have read there is no door command as such. (Shift+E,etc) The doors on the tubeliners open when the jetway is connected and the GA aircraft don't seem to have opening doors. You're right there doesn't appear to be any "door open/close" control, at least a search doesn't turn up anything with the word "door" in it. You're also right that the default GA aircraft doors won't open. But, I have the Carenado Mooney M20R and its doors (PAX and cargo) open and close just fine by clicking on the handles. It's just an animation. When the door is open it does raise the "main door open" signal which FSCaptain recognizes and allows the load to proceed. For the default GA to load I had to mark their exits as "inop" for FSCaptain. Dutch
