Hi guys, Currently flying some bush flights around Samoa. NSFQ and NSAS are small village airports on the eastern islands, but they do have airline service. I'm confused as to how to get em to work with FSC though. I'm pretty sure the scenery is from Orbx? I have Orbx NTSU installed and both of these fields now have nice scenery at them too... but MakeRwys didn't identify the fields and insert entries in the cfg file. Is there a way to manually add lines in the cfg? I'm not sure what I'm looking at when I'm looking at the file. Thanks

Hello Matts,
after you installed your new airports, you should run the scenery scanner in Administrator -> Options for all airlines -> Rebuild airport database. It should automatically detect any addon airports you have in your sim. Having said that, sometimes things may go wrong:
1) You may use P3D v4 and did not install LorbySceneryExport.exe. Consult MakeRwys README in your main P3D folder if that may be the case.
2) ORBX sometimes uses a special runway code, which is interpreted as "not a hard surface" by FSCaptain. You can override this by adding the airport to airport_surface_override.txt in the Config subdirectory of FSCaptain.
If these two suggestions do not help, send us a few logs so that we can analyze the problem.
Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter thanks for the quick reply.
I figured it out. The airports have an ICAO identifier... but when Orbx built the AFCADs they used the FAA LID. So instead of NSAS... it's Z07. Quite silly. But it's in there and that's what counts.

Hi Matts,
ah, yes, I've run into that issue at well with another scenery developer. I am glad you resolved the problem.
Cheers, Peter

This sounds like something that could be addressed by the new-id_user.txt file in our \Config\ folders. If the BGL data has an airport with the "ID" of Z07 and you feel it should have an ID of NSAS, try this.... Open your options.cfg file and set the value of ENABLE_NEW_AIRPORT_IDS to 1 like so: ENABLE_NEW_AIRPORT_IDS=1Now, open your \Config\new-id_user.txt file in a text editor and add this entry: Z07=NSAS
Make certain you are using \Config\new-id_user.txt and not \Config\new-id_fsc.txt. The "_fsc" file is for our 'official' use and the "_user" file is for each Captain's personal use.
Save the file and then run SceneryScanner (you should not need to run MakeRunways). Once SceneryScanner has completed, then run your Administrator and try to dispatch a light aircraft flight from NSTU, specifying NSAS as your destination. If everything goes well, my guess is that it should work. (You can look up Appendix 5 in the User Guide - look for the subject " The new-id_user.txt File" for details.) If something crops up, let me know. I may need your ADMIN log as well as your \Config\airports.cfg file to debug. Best,
