Hello Gwadacaps06,
welcome to the FSCaptain forum. The Navdata part of FSCaptain is relatively new and it appears to me that it is unable to handle non-standard characters in your directory name. Dutch or Travis may be able to confirm or refute my speculation. As a work-around, you could install FSCaptain Navdata outside of your user directory - say in C:\FSCaptainNavdata\ or anything else that does not contains accents and other non-ASCII characters. You would then have to change the option PATH_NAVDATA in options.cfg.
Cheers, Peter

Hello Gwadacaps06,
That exception occurs because Scenery Scanner can't find part of the path to one of the Navdata files.
My first question is, "Do you have the folders and the file '\FSCaptain\Navdata\Navdata\airports.dat' in your "My Documents" folder?
My second and third questions are, "Did you install from a Full or Fixpack installer? And which version of FSCaptain are you running?"
Best regards,
