Actually I found this problem for quite a while, once FSCaptain.dll loaded, some times especially during the start of a flight, using default "-" and "=" keys to zoom in -out witn no smooth transition, the zoom in out is like crawling .... slow not smooth, but after disable the dll file in dll.xml, everything back to normal. Today I found FSCaptain.dll also affected chaseplane for smooth zoom in-out, I spent few hours finally found it's related to FSCaptain.dll.

I can't think of what the DLL itself would do to cause 'stuttering' or slowdowns.
It loads with the simulator, and reads some configuration files... writes to its logfile... and waits for communication from the FCDU.
If you're using the FCDU.EXE, the DLL can be used to play music and sounds.
Very old versions of the FCDU & DLL could get caught in a loop reading weather data or writing too much to the hard drive, but we've caught each occurrence brought to our attention and smoothed things out.
The next time you see this happen, please send us the FCDU and FSCaptain log files (or just the FSCaptain log file, if you weren't using the FCDU) and tell us roughly when the slowness occurs and we'll try to see if something's happening.
Also please include a link to this forum topic so we can keep things aligned.

I re-enabled the dll but everything works fine together, I'll try to grab the log next time I face the issue again.

Hi Legendli,
If you experience this again, save those log files.
Then later, try another flight but without running or opening the FCDU first to see if that makes any difference.
I will be going through periods of off-comms over the next few weeks, but this thread is flagged in my bookmarks....
Best,
