Hello ! We all know that PMDG bypas the standard failure system and therefore failure initiated by FS Captain do weird stuff or nothings on our flight. Last time I had an idea and was wondering if could be possible to do it. I might required some work but will surely bring a lot of fun. FS2Crew use PMDG SDK to communicate to the CDU and do action like open door or connect ground services. Would'n it be possible for FS Captain to do the same but access to the failure page and activate or arm the failure there ? I know it doesn't sound very easy but again, it would had sooooooooooooooooo much ! Just for the weather hazard pack or icing on flight control... Thanks a lot for taknig time to think about it and please let me know

Hello Quentin and welcome to the forum!
I'll preface my answer by pointing out that I don't have the 737 nor the 777 so I'm clueless as to what's actually possible. (Edit: "more clueless than normal")
But if that's something they would allow, then your proposal would be doable.
Does anyone know if their SDKs are available to non-owners??

Investigating the SDK manual, I foudn this paragraph :
Developers who wish to sell software that uses this SDK to interface with the PMDG 777-200LR/F line of products in an environment outside of the retail entertainment market must first obtain and sign a license agreement with PMDG Simulations, LLC for the commercial use of this SDK in their products.
Is that apply to FS Captain ?

Quentin,
Considering that P3D is not operating within a "retail entertainment market", it seems that we would have to seek guidance from PMDG for their intent.
I would say this has to be shelved for the near term until we are ready to engage with them. Considering what we have to face ourselves, it could be months once we have started with them.

Ok, I understand things a little better now. Well, thanks you again for taking time to answer. If you want, I can share the SDK manual PDF, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do so. Let me know if you need anything Quentin
