What are all of the install locations of FSCaptain?
I.E. How does the program recall files, that are not in the FSX directory?
The reason I ask is because when I uninstalled FSCaptain with an uninstaller program, somehow FSCaptain related itself to Simconnect in such a way that Simconnect was also uninstalled... yet, the FSCaptain folder remained in the FSX directory, even after attempting to uninstall it.

What are all of the install locations of FSCaptain? The installer should only write to the folder which you direct it to. E.g., "C:\FSX\".
There it writes some gauges to the \Gauges\ folder, the \FSCaptain\ folder, and a dll to the \Modules\ folder.
FSCaptain reads some simulator registry entries, checks DLL.XML to see if FSCaptain is installed there, reads wx engine files which are designated by each Captain, and reads PLN files which are designated for a flight. That's all I can think of for files outside the simulator directory. No navdata, etc. The uninstaller deletes files that the installer writes. So if you have any log files or new aircraft or airline files in the FSCaptain folder that the installer didn't write, it won't delete them... ergo the FSCaptain folder cannot be deleted. I don't think the installer writes a dll.xml entry - I know the Admin will write an entry to dll.xml if one is not found. I cannot see how uninstalling FSCaptain would uninstall SimConnect. The only relating that we do with SimConnect is when the simulator is running and we connect with it.

How does FSCaptain recall save files?
I deleted FSX completely, and then reinstalled it.
When I reinstalled fscaptain, the profile and save and config were still the same, as previous. -They didn't work, which is another issue, but they had all my saved info in there.
So, I'm just trying to figure out how FSCaptain could recall that info, even when it's own folder had been removed?

Since I have asked repeatedly for log files from you with no response, I cannot guess at any answers.
FSCaptain recalls save files by asking for them by name. As for the rest of your inquiries, I do not know.
