I like how I can try FSCaptain out for free at a few airports, but the problem is the airports are located in places where de-ice procedures are not needed very often. Would it be possible to add a Canadian city to the demo so that people can try out the icing/de-icing simulation?

I like this idea, but it is entirely up to Dutch to decide. I would suggest CYXS, which has a long runway and is reasonably close to the other places. On the other hand, be careful what you wish for. I live in Canada and have to wait for de-icing to be completed on every other flight Peter

Years ago I had encouraged Dutch to add a few airports around the world, but he explained why that wouldn't be a good idea. I don't think the reason has changed. Although in 1.6.2 and therafter you will be able to set a weather theme at an airport and the ACME Deicing Crew will frigidly comply.

You can do that now, in the sense that you can set a winter weather theme at any airport. If you set "Heavy Snows" at KOLM and "rate at which weather changes" to zero, you'll be able to see how the de-icing works quite well. I've done that many times in testing.
