Hi there,
doing a flight with FSC right now and enjoying the new version very much. For my flights I use a kneeboard app for charts, general data, which is extremely usefull in flight as I dont have to switch between the pdf reader or browser on my one screen setup.
Hence, my idea ist, to develop an iPad version of FSCaptain which could be used inflight without it cluttering my one screen setup. This, in turn would yield you as developers some additional revenue. Communication with FSX could be done via some kind of server app similar to the Virtual CDU app or the Remote flight maps.
Cheers

I'm not speaking for Dutch here... but I'm a Microsoft platform coder. Period. I'm too old to branch out into new Vistas. (Yep, that's a computing joke there. ) If anyone is an iOS or Android programmer who might like to talk about a GUI that would interface with FSCaptain, drop me an email. That said... what's the current state of the iOS applications that would allow Windows(tm) PCs to "extend their desktop"? Things like AirDisplay? And if that reference dates me, well I'm am a heckuva lot older than that....

There are alternatives that works very well - use an application that extends the PC screeen to the iPad. Two available applications are: AirDisplay (http://www.avatron.com/apps/air-display) MaxiVista (http://www.maxivista.com/ipad-as-second-monitor.htm) I have been using MaxiVista for sometime now and am very happy with the results (hope I don't get into trouble due to the free advertising!)

I used AirDisplay to map the FMC of the 737 NGX onto the iPad. The results were horrible: AirDisplay crashed almost every time I used it, and even when it did not crash it was very sluggish to respond.
