I thought this may be a good one for upcoming releases. When FSC calculates fuel It would be nice if it factors holding and diversions. For example: flight from katl to korf. Est. fuel usage 12119 Reserves: Holding 4111 Diversion (based on location of Alt. airport) 6166 Total Fuel 22396 I think FSC bases fuel calculations on departing and arrival airports with considerations for wind, ect. and 45min. reserves. If not, can you tell me what is factored in for fuel Est. If FSC already factors the holding and diversions, then I apologize for taking up your time with this post. Thanks, Gabe

Gabe,
Dutch can contridict me, but I'm 99% sure that both holding and the primary destination alternate (distance) are accounted for in FS Captain in regards to planned fuel load.
I believe it's a "one size fits all" calculation, so there would be room for improvement in future versions though. (IRL, different types of flights trigger different rules, etc.)

Thanks, for clarifying that for me, wasn't sure.
I use a fuel planning from a site on the net. I don't know how accurate it is, but on a flight from KALT to KORF with a 757 (about 1.5hr flight) fuel plan calculations were like I showed in post plus a Contingency of 1120, which I didn't use. FSC fuel calc. was 13100 (13.1), so I changed it to 22396 (22.4). Did flight and had about 10.2 left after flight, which I think is good. I need to go over my setup and see if I can get fuel calculation close to m plan fuel.

It can be tough to have too much fuel or too much altitude.
