After loading is complete, if weather is below min. at destination or departure airport I get message for delaying flight from dipatch. I know I can request departure from dispatch. What would be nice for future releases would be to have dispatch notify us before boarding, if any delays. This way our passengers won't be stuck on the airplane. They can wait in the terminal and board after we been cleared from dispatch. Just a suggestion.
Thanks, Gabe

Gabe, That's not a bad variant to introduce. I've played with issuing Gate Holds, Departure Holds, De-Icing Holds and the odd "that's a bad TAF... likely to be arrival delays so let's plan for an enroute hold." WHen I do US flights, I always consult the Air Traffic Control System Command Center for current operations and restrictions, and to see if any playbooks are in use. Luckily our PAX don't have a Bill of Rights, so they'll sit on the tarmac and have coffees and pretzels for hours.
