Can we add an auto response to atc calls that simply switch from one freq to another. Like setup the CO to switch from station to station.
It's a pain in IFR mode on long hauls.

Hi Charlie,
that's a very nice idea, but I see a couple of problems. Most importantly, you probably refer to default ATC, but that is differently implemented in FS9, FSX and P3D, as far as I know. In addition, most people I know don't use it because it is fairly basic and does not support standard arrivals and departures. Instead, they are using ATC programs (such as Pro-ATC, VoxATC, or Radar Contact) or fly in aviation networks (Vatsim, IVAO, PilotEdge). With all these different options it would likely be impossible to implement this feature. By the way, Pro-ATC has this feature built in.
Cheers, Peter

VOXATC has a First Officer who not only will answer and make ATC calls for you, he will adjust COM frequencies for you too. Cheers, Luc

Luc, We prefer to leave this to the ATC utilities. Some ATC programs use the frequencies encoded into the BGL files, some ATC programs use data from other sources. But primarily, the ATC programs would know when it's the correct time to switch frequencies. If they feel that you should switch from Tower to Departure at 2000 AGL but our rule would have you switch at 3000 AGL then you'd be late on your contact, etc. That's really their domain. We handle what's left over... the dog's unmentionables. Regards,

Hi Travis, I guess your response was directed to Charlie instead of me I was merely just pointing him to an ATC who does what he was asking for. I fully agree with your response though, hence the reason why I'm using VOXATC. Cheers, Luc

Luc, Good catch - I've only been away from the forum for a month and I'm already getting names wrong. Whoops. Best,
