Could this be an acceptable solution? In real life, an aircraft is not loaded simply because the doors are opened but is triggered by an announcement by the crew to the airport terminal. To avoid all these problems, adding an announcement in Acars "Announce Ready-To-Board" would certainly avoid all this - and keeping the reality alive.

Hmmm. An "extra step command" on the Communicator that (optionally, maybe according to airline rules) must be triggered to allow (or force) a load to begin. This would simulate a model that although the doors may or may not be open, and that the galley is stocked with goodies, and that everyone's brushed their teeth and is wearing fresh uniforms, that the Captain has to give the final OK to begin boarding.
I can't see a problem with this on first thought, so I'm sure that Dutch is also mulling it over.
My thoughts for a "fix" in this area were going towards either a simple or a more complex arrangement:
The simple one being an aircraft-specific switch that would essentially function as "Doors-INOP". So for a given aircraft, the FCOM could be compelled to ignore a needed "main door" state. My more complex idea would involve a new Interface element that would allow an Lvar to control the door state. (Which itself would have to allow for an INOP state.)
I like it when simpler ideas win out... unless the non-simpler ideas allow more flexibility or cover more ground.

Sorry for dragging this up again but haven't used fsx much in the last while. I'm still having the same problem where the fcdu does not change stages. I have tried to uninstall the acars from the the default Caravan and reinstall it again but for some reason it will not uninstall from the Caravan. I can uninstall it from other planes all right. Was wondering if this could be related to the problem I'm having.
Thanks. Darren

I haven't seen the problem where it isn't changing stages, but I have noticed that on some airplanes I have to manually force the door open as it keeps on wanting to close.
I'll check out the default caravan uninstall. I doubt it's related, but anything's possible.

I've just tried it with another plane and it changed when I left the ground. Seems to be a Caravan specific problem I'm having.

The default 208 was my first FSCaptain fleet a/c. I'll dig mine out for a test flight this weekend....

Offhand I can't think what might cause that, except for a security problem with updating the log file, which is what it's trying to do at that point.
Two questions to get us started, does the same thing happen with other airplanes, and is your FSX located in it's default location in the Program Files folder?

Hi.
Unfortunately still having the same problem but this time I have moved on to the King Air 350. Was wondering, I'm using FSCaptain along with Air Hauler. Could they be conflicting with each other or something like that?

Possible... and it's been ages since I've ran AH. But the few times I did run them together, everything did work. I assume you have AH set to manage the load and fuel, and FSCaptain is "along to monitor the ride" so to speak.

Hi!
I usually have the flight all set up for Air Hauler before setting up FSCaptain so not sure if FSCaptain is doing anything to the fuel. I have tried to remove the ACARS for the Caravan but nothing happens. For some reason it wont remove.
The two of them were working well upto when I downloaded the first beta of 1.4, thats when I seemed to start having the problems.

Which aircraft is it that the PAX aren't loading? Is it consistent with that airplane?

hi have fix the problem . found that the vcockpit01 in the panel file was not in the model so adjusted the panel file to remove blank panels. this made the vcockpit01 panel with one gauge when installed the fscaptain gauge still wired things happen so adjusted the panel file to make main panel vcockpit01 then install fscaptain gauge all works ok .so have to be carefull when installing the gauge to the vcockpit ?

Hi Travis or Dutch.
I am using Wilco A330-200 Evolution 2, FSX, Win 7, fscaptain 1.4.2. This is the 1st aircraft that I have had problems with, with fscaptain. 1st time, fuel and passengers loaded as normal, but then after pushback I did not have the welcome dialogue (option 1), nor attendant ready for take off dialogue, until about 30 minutes into the flight! LOL!
Next time I tried, fuel loaded ok but then it hung, waiting for passenger load! They never arrived (must have been in the bar!).
Seriously though, I only fly FSX because of fscaptain, and so it is rather distressing to load everything up, program the FMC, etc, only to find that fscaptain had given up!
I had a similar problem with QW 757 on ocassions, a delay before welcome messages and crew messages! And I then got pinged for not informing the crew ready for takeoff!
Just as an aside, is there no way to fix getting done for not setting altitude to standard? I fly in UK, and standard altitude is correct in fscaptain, but not in FSX! (18,000ft in FSX). Air traffic keeps telling me to change my altitude, because I am above or below the altitude they want me to be at, and then they give up and cancel my flight plan!
Hope you can shed some light on the Wilco 330-200, as I really want to fly this plane! As it stands, it is unflyable with fscaptain.
Best rgds.
Terry
