How do u plan a refueling stop? I just flew from KMYR to KOLM with the 737-800 and the wind was strong enough to cause a refueling stop. I use fsx flight planner, and I asked for a new IFR to closest airport. When I landed, the attendant confirmed refueling. Is there any way to schedule a planned refueling? Also, the announcements got messed up after that stop, and the boarding nose continued until reaching KOLM. I know this is long but wanted to give u as much as possible. sorry. tks.

Leen,
That wasn't long-winded at all, thanks for the report!
I'm 99.9% certain that refueling stops can't be / aren't scheduled, at least under the model that FS Captain uses. (Which is a simple one... to afford pretty flexible flights.)
What version of FS Captain are you using? If it's the 131 beta, I'll ping Dutch to check the current code. I'll try to perform an un-needed refueling stop over the next few days to see how it works from my side of things.

I am using the 131 beta. When u do manage a refueling stop, let me know if the announcements are messed up, and the boarding sounds continue once you takeoff again.

Roger that. I'm busy-ed up today, and will be off on a mini-vacation from Sunday until Wednesday, but will carve out an hour or so on Friday to test this.

Leen, I made a flight yesterday from KSFO to KBFL and I stopped off at KMER as a test. - I didn't call TOD before KMER.
- I did signal the crew that we were landing when I reached the FAF.
- When we were slowing down on the runway, Heidi told the PAX that we had made a refuling stop but they'd not be able to deplane. Heh.
- Then the music started and I was guided to park. I stopped on a taxiway, set my brakes, shut down the engines, and restarted.
- I signaled we were ready to takeoff and then completed the flight (signalling TOD as we approached Beautiful Bustling Bakersfield) and got the normal bonuses except no Correct POS Reporting bonus.
All other announcements went off as they should have. No boarding sounds except at KSFO. I'll work this in again and again to see if I can find a "trigger" to cause the annoucements to get out of sync. And to see if I have to call TOD on my refuling stop. But I'll be offline until later in the week....

I looked at the sound file and the gate1.wav play continually after making a refueling stop. Also, were us using and IFR or VFR flight plan. I used an IFR plan and just requested a new destination from FSX and then requested the original destination. Had not problems with the FCOM as it showed original dest. tks for your reply, and maybe the first will help (gate1.wav).

IFR, as is required for all commercial flights in the US. :-)
I never changed my FSX flight plan, nor anything else. I just landed in the middle of my flight, shutdown, then resumed.
It'll be this weekend before I have another chance to make a flight, but until then I'm thinking on the possible variances involved.

Travis, How did u accomplish that without ATC canceling your IFR? They will tell u that u are x below your approved altitude and from my experience, if you don't adjust to that altitude, they cancel your IFR. Please explain how you do it. Tks.

When I use MSFS ATC, I will often do the old "when advised to switch controller, ack the request... switch to the new frequency... but do not contact the new controller" trick.
You lose any benefits of "flight following" such as traffic advisories, but if you have a TCAS gauge (and collisions turned off ;D ) no one gets hurt.
You're then free to change altitude, establish your own holding patterns, land and takeoff from a strange airport, etc.
You're free to join ATC at any time though, just pull up the ATC menu and it will helpfully indicate the controller that owns your current airspace. If you want to wait until you're approaching TOD and have ATC give you descent instructions you can, or you can manage that on your own.
Some times I'll simply land myself at my destination. Othertimes I'll contact tower once I've set myself up for final and follow their instructions. Either way I fly the STAR and approach that I want without all of the silly vectoring that stock ATC can throw out.

Yes, refueling isn't scheduled but it is supported. If the dispatch planner realizes the flight requires more fuel than you can carry it will allow for extra time for you to refuel.
You simply land at the airport of your choice and re-fuel then resume your flight. When you land FSCaptain will recognize you aren't at your destination and will allow for the re-fueling, and the FA should announce to the PAX that refueling is in progress.
