Dutch, Thanks I got my registration number. I installed the fscaptain Beta and got the two icons. and try to install the FCOM gauge on the DC3C. I clicked on the DC3C and it ask me were I wanted the gauge? So I said main panel? Never saw nothing about a shift key to bring up gauge? So I started fs9 went to KSEA airport and set up DC3C 2007 cargo A/C Looked on main panel no gauge then I went back to program that install the gauge and saw you could remove it and I did. Then I try to install it again and though I could reinstall? clicked on this and program just vanish? So I saw were I could remove fscaptain and it seem to remove the program. using a program called CC Cleaner. I known I must have done something wrong. with the FCOM gauge install. Thanks for any help. Lane

When you run the installer it will list all guages that come up for the aircraft chosen. It isn't installing the guage on any of those panels, it is installing it AFTER that panel on the list as another panel which is accessed by the Shift+# keys like your radios, GPS, etc. Below the box, but above the OK and Cancel buttons it will say "You will access the FCOM in this aircraft by pressing Shift+ F#" It doesn't access an F-Key (already addressed) but the above mentioned Shift+# sequence. Just pay attention to whatever F-Key number it is (1-9) and use that number in your Shift+# command in the sim. You should pull up the little ACARS box in the sim with no problem at that point. Hope the above helps, basically, this is accessed like your GPS or Radio windows and isn't a guage that just gets installed into your main panel.

Sorry, Lane, I didn't mean to get too technical. Basically, your adding the FCOM as another panel (like the radio, GPS, etc.) It will not appear on your panel, you have to call it up like the GPS (Shift+3), radios (Shift+2), and other panels. What number it comes up as is based on where in the list you select. When you select, pay attention to the note saying Shift+F# where the number is actually what you will use to call it up, ignoring the F, it doesn't use F keys, just the number keys.

Sorry you're having some trouble Lane. Soon there'll be a chapter in a user's guide that gives step-by-step instructions.
I'll try and post some detailed instructions with illustrations shortly.
