I'm anticipating being able to get back to it full-time at the beginning of next week.

As anticipated, I'm now able to concentrate on on the projects I'm interested in - FSCAI and moving FSCaptain to MSFS. I'm balancing time between those. The MSFS project has lots of downtime -- perhaps weeks and months of it, depending - where we can't do anything until Asobo gets more SDK features and during that downtime I am full-time FSCAI. Otherwise, I am part-time FSCAI.
It will take a few days to get back to where I was after a two-month hiatus, but we should see forward progress shortly. Much has already been done for the next release, but about 10% remains, and as any developer will tell you that last 10% is often the toughest.

New OPFOR systems will mostly be concentrated around radar guided ordnance, both air and ground launched.
Exactly what will be there, that decision hasn't been made yet.

Thinking of "naval ordnance," if FSCAI had escort sharks with fricking laser beams on their heads, then any attacking aircraft might find themselves blinded for a short duration. Don't mind me... I'll show myself out. Best,

Will you be able to include any ECM gauges? I have some ECM pod models ready to go (QRC-160-1A/ALQ-71, ALQ-87 and ALQ-101) ... they just need a gauge in order to actually do anything. New OPFOR systems will mostly be concentrated around radar guided ordnance, both air and ground launched. Exactly what will be there, that decision hasn't been made yet. Dutch

StuB, are those models for TacPack or how do you "attach" them to an aircraft?

Right now, just like with Tacpack weapons, they have to be compiled as part of the model. i.e. they are attached to the model and given a payload visibility condition based on a station weight before the model is recompiled. Then, you can use a custom payload manager to make the store item visible ..... or you can open the fuel and payload manager and manually type in the required value. If you look at the F-105D demo video I made ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWy74AbMFMo ) you can see a QRC-160 ECM pod that can be added to an outboard pylon.... but they are just for show, since I haven't found an ECM gauge to go along with them. StuB, are those models for TacPack or how do you "attach" them to an aircraft? HAJO

Looks like I might have to uninstall p3d v5 and go back to v4 ,v5 is great compared to v4 but without fscai fully functional it is getting BORING...its been over a month since I asked about next release...any news Dutch. Thank you I think that the current version will work with V5, but the installer won't put the DLL that supports it in the right place. If you are comfortable editing your DLL/XML file, you can do that manually and use FSCAI in V5. 1. Install the current 64 bit version into V5 by changing the default folder location in the installer. 2. Execute the FSCAI.exe from the bin folder (you can use the desktop icon). 3. It may talk about the DLL missing. If so, reply Ok to install it. 4. Find the V5 DLL.XML file in this location: C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D V5\dll.xml 5. Edit that file, as administrator, with Notepad or your favorite plain text editor. 6. Insert the following text right before the last line (i.e. </SimBase.Document>): <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSCAID</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>FSCAI\bin\FSCAID.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon>
7. Save and Exit the editor. 6. Try the FSCAI V5, it should work.

Hey Dutch ,I tried what you suggested above and at first it worked somewhat but since the 5.1 update the sounds are gone ,sometimes i am given a chinese designation and if i change my nation I immediately get shot down by some phantom aircraft the same model as mine but no visibility of that ac in the sim and lots of other strange things...it seems the AI of this whole engine is suspect ,even when its working great it can only hold and execute the data a few times then gets "lazy" or just refuses to comply...very strange indeed.
