I downloaded the trial version of this program and installed the FCOM which appeared ok but never could power on. I tried to uninstall the FCOM to a new loacation, but now refuses to uninstall. How do I get rid of the FCOM when the prograsm itselt will not unisntall FCOM?

Did uninstall by manually going into panel. Even though the program recognizes the FCOM installed, it is impossible to access either through shift or view commands - simply get a flashing cursor and no gauge. Prob a W7 issue, but have turned off UAC ans tweaked firewalls with no improvement.

We have many folks who have successfully used FSC with W7, but a few have had security-related issues. It sounds like you are having those.

hi, Maybe a stupid question but did you switch on the battery? If you did, don't feel offended by my question

I finally thought to download the already equipped Acme 737 and the gauge works fine. The problem must be with the FCOM installer. Still trying to figure out a way around but no luck yet but at least can now test the program which I really like so far.

Turns out the issue was the panel - still not sure why. I used FCOM to install in an airbus panel and it went in fine. For some reason, the boeing panel doesn't like the install although it reconizes it exists. Both Overland SMS panels.

It's possible (but unlikely) that the FCOM code conflicts with some panel code in some aircraft (although the FCOM is designed to avoid that).
You can install the FCOM into a panel manually if the installer fails, there are instructions for doing that in one of the appendices of the User's Guide.
