Hi! Any plans for a interface for the newly released version of the Maddog?

Hi Shift89,
so far, nobody from the team has this bird. However, you can always help us building an interface by chasing Lvars. Let me know if you would like to do that.
Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter! It's not worth buying it if I can't use it with fscaptain so I will be happy to help you!

Hello Shift89,
I learned yesterday that Dutch has bought the airplane. I therefore expect that it will be fully supported soon.
Cheers, Peter

I do have the Maddog X - P3D4 version, and I'm in the process of testing the interface to FSCaptain now. They kept the same Lvar names but the numbers in them are completely different!
I also love the aircraft. It's got all the incredible systems depth of the original, plus state-of-the-art 2018 visual appeal now.

Yeah, I agree. In my opinion it's the best airliner made for any flightsim. Perfect blend between the old steam era and the modern computer era. The maddog is the only flightsim aircraft I've seen with in-built de-icing features. I'm curious how it will interact with FSC's own de-icing.

Dutch has mimicked the existing Maddog interface, but he's currently struggling with a new wrinkle - when we set the No Smoking or Seat Belt switches, they revert to their previous setting after a second or so.
He's not given up, so this is just an FYI....

Hello Twin Cessna!
The interface is still okay, although I do have a question about it for Dutch.
I'm getting over another 'spring head cold' so things have slowed down over the past few days. I've taken time to update the User Guide after a hard disk recover, and I'm thinking we may have an Alpha 4 build in a day or so. (Tomorrow's my 'tax prep day,' so I'm hoping for some good news there.)
I wanted Beta 1 to be ready by the end of March, but it may take until the first week of April....
Best,

The news is that we're still working on the 1.8.1 public release. We've had a few personal / family issues that have come up to delay things... but we're improving other things as time passes.
The MaddogX interface appears to be fine... so when the public beta begins -- possibly late next week? -- you will be able to work with your aircraft.
Best regards,

I have been using FSCaptain for some weeks now with the Maddog x. It works fine other than the seat belt glitch. The most pressing issue I have found is the panel.cfg file being reset to the original before FSC. It appears to be related to the Maddog load manager when saving fight planning and loads, if seems to be saving the cfg file back to the original panel and wiping out FSCaptain entries, at least it seems a possibility, not completely sure but it is suspect.
I have used the LH products for years and love the old MD82 steam and digital avionics.
