The website www.fscaptain.net now contains FSCaptain beta version 07.07, and a cumulative Fixpack to upgrade any field version to 07.07. See the README.txt in each for more details. Version 07.07 contains some enhancements to bring FSCaptain closer to its final form. In particular it's closer to sounding as professional as it looks with the addition of a new flight attendant, music, and passenger loading sounds. There are many new options on the Airlines tab of the Administrator. - A new "maintenance class" for an airline. The choices are excellent, good, or marginal. A "Good" airline will increase failure rates slightly over the standard rates chosen on the "all airlines" tab, and a "marginal" one will increase the failure odds somewhat more. - You can now choose which First Officer and Flight Attendant you prefer for each airline. Choices are limited at this point, but more will be added soon. - You can choose when music is played to soothe the PAX - during boarding/unboarding, or during taxi, or both. A small selection of music is provided, expect more selections to appear as the beta continues. - You have access to the scheduled airlines parameters previously left off the tab. Warning! The new airline options required that the default .cfg files be distributed with the Fixpack. If you have changed any options for the six default airlines you'll have to re-make the changes. If you added any airlines they will not be affected, nor will the schedules be affected. Hope you enjoy 07.07! Dutch

Got it running with no probs and like the maintenance options. Now I can feel like I'm with some shady cargo outfit that forces the crews to take sub-par equipment into hazardous strips and inclement weather. As for the music, I like the touch. Would it be possible to allow end users to add a number of files in mp3 or whatever format is necessary so they can have their own music play? Sort've like the CD player guage that is available, for instance on the DC-7. I'm just thinking that I'd rather hear some CCR, Pink Floyd, or Zeppelin then Beethoven's Air on a G String hour after hour.

Some answers --
Lane, you shouldn't need to do anything, your current registration should be stored and in use. If you do need to re-enter it you can use the same one I gave you. But that shouldn't be necessary, tell me if that happened to you. It's a bug if it did.
Pilotgod, the music is in .wav format in the folder FSCaptain/sound/Music. I'm happy for you to supply your own! PAXBRD1.wav is boarding music, PAXTAX1.wav is the music taxiing in and out, and PAXUNB1.wav is the unboarding music. In the next release it'll be PAXBRDx.wav where x is 1 to 9 and randomly selected. Sorry we don't do MP3s at this time. But I'd like to...eventually.
