In the above you stated that you can only imagine one way this is happening, what is that one way?

That somehow your aircraft's 'pre-load percentage' had been corrupted to zero percent.
Please post logs from Beta 3 and we'll analyze.

Sure thing.

So, I've upgraded to Beta 4 and as soon as I hit "normal load" the fuel goes to zero and the engines shut down. I have the airplane config file set to minimum of 1000 and 45% preload.
What else am I missing here?

Hi Rlbomber,
can you send us (click on the blue text below) a zip file containing your FSCaptain\Data\Logs directory, your FSCaptain\Aircraft directory and the aircraft.cfg file of your airplane model in FSX\Simobjects\Airplanes ? Please send it to everyone in the team and copy the html address of this thread in your message so that all of us can think about this.
Cheers, Peter

Yes, at a minimum we would need the FCDU and FSCaptain logs for an attempt, along with the aircraft's aircraft.cfg file and the working FSCaptain aircraft configuration file.
Since this is not a normal operation (starting ones' engines before loading fuel and pax/cargo) I would encourage all other Captains who are interested in this thread to mimic this pattern if you care to. Apparently there's something different in our approach to starting a flight and Rlbombers's approach. The more data we can gather, the better we can hope to isolate a problem.
I would gather in real life that to fuel an aircraft with running engines would be prohibitively expensive in nothing more than in terms of insurance costs. But we would like to allow those Captains who which to do so... to do so.

Let me know if I sent you everything you required?

We would also need the FCDU log for the loading attempt.

Please, just to clarify, in the past, it would tell me to shut down the engines prior to loading and would not start loading until I had done so. Now, it automatically shuts down the engines due to setting the fuel level to 0.
I believe this is the FCDU which goes along with the others.

Hi Rlbomber,
it appears you are using a load map for this plane. Did you enable "Suppress Auto-Payload" in it?
Best, Peter

Rlbomber,
Your logs don't make sense in this regard - your flight requires 5118lbs of fuel, you have a capacity of 19500lbs, and preset for an initial flight of 45%... which is above the flight's requirement - so I'll add more logging for what appears to be Beta 6.
You've already stated that this happens in other aircraft too, so that shuts down one possibility - an aircraft model with an outrageous "(A:FUEL WEIGHT PER GALLON,pounds)" value. We saw this in some FS9 aircraft... but that's been years ago.
As for your inquiry, what's happening is in the 'pre-load stage' and isn't covered by that block. So since you haven't enabled DISABLESHUTDOWN, even if you weren't getting zero fuel, you wouldn't be able to load....

All taken care of! Last piece of the puzzle was the Pre Load, changed that and it's working the way I wanted it to.

Please tell me what you did to correct the issue, as I'm having the exact same problem with the wilco 737 pic and the latest edition of d's captain
