I am new to FSCaptain. I have an HP quad core cpu operating in Windows7. Everything on FSCapain works great except for one problem that I haven't found a solution for. I have done about 7 missions. At the completion of each mission I can see my performance and score. But after closing Flight Sim and I go to the FSCaptain administration program I do not see anything in the flight log or the Achievments or the Areas of Concern. I am sure it is some simple solution but I haven't found it yet. Can anyone help me solve this problem. Other then that I love this program. Thanks for your help.

On the first page in the administrator, there's a button near the top: "Change airline and/or pilot". Click it and make your selection.
Should show the log now.

Thanks for the suggestion. That didn't fix it.

This usually means that the airline name / pilot number stored in each log entry doesn't match the one you're currently signed up for. But since the suggestion to switch to your airline and pilot didn't work something else is afoot.
Which airline and pilot number are you currently signed up as? (the out-of-the-box defaults are Landmark and 455)

Dutch when I made the pilot application for employment I used the name Mike. The program assigned me "455 Mike". I am flying for Landmark. When I went toChange Airline/Pilot I selected Landmark and Mike. The 455 doesn't appear. Now is says Mike flying for Landmark. What directory are the flight logs stored in? Thanks Dutch

Logs are stored in FSCaptain\Data, with a separate log for each airline. There should be a LANDMARK.log in there.
A program in that folder called Cvtlog.exe can extract the log data to a format that can be imported into a spreadsheet. It'll prompt for the airline name, enter landmark and it'll produce a file called landmark.csv which excel or a compatible spreadsheet program can import.
Inside you'll see the first column is the airline name and the 5th is the pilot number.
Let me know what you find.

I looked in the directory FSCaptain\Data and found a text file named Landmark. The file was empty. So it seems that the data after a mission is not being writen to the Data directory. Hope you can help me solve this problem. Every other feature of the program is working and I really enjoy using it. Thanks Dutch

Not writing the log is pretty serious! I've never seen that before. The log isn't a text file but a binary file.
Two things to help diagnose this.
1. Did the Landmark file have a .log extension? (right-click and select Properties to see this).
2. Can you use Notepad or another program to create and put a few lines into a file in that folder? (here we're looking for security issues).

Dutch checking in the properties of the landmark file it does say "Landmark.log". I can create most anything that I need to create. I have had detailed computer experience in the past. Since I am using windows7 and it is relatively new anything is possible. I think you are on the right track of a security issue or some kind of configuration issue. Thanks for you attention to this problem.

Try signing up for another airline and making a flight. Does a log file for that airline appear, and is it empty too?
We'll figure it out. This is the only example I have so far of a log not working.

Well Dutch it was operator error on my part. I was failing to commit to a mission in FSCaptain before starting FSX or if going into FSX first not commiting to the mission at the gate. When I do commit in either place the flight is logged just fine. I am sorry to have taken up your time for such a dumb error on my part. Thank you so much for all the help. Each of your comments helped me get to the discovery. Have a great day.
