Hi, new user here!
I've been enjoying flying with FSCaptain for some weeks now, and have just upgraded to the latest (1.1)
I was looking forward to try the new Flight dispatch, but ran into problems.
I created a flight and and commited to it through the administrator, but when i fired up the sim and Fcom, it said the flight had "expired". The time from planned flighttime until i got in the plane had exceeded maximum (24 hours). that's wierd (as I commited to it 5 minutes ago)! So i tried again, but this time I looked at he release in the administrator, and it says april 7th. This was on april 9th, so thats why the flight had expired...
Today i tried again, viewed the release and it said april 9th, that's two days ago.
It seems whatever i put in the date field under required at the top is ignored, and it's impossible to use the dispatcher now.
Has anyone else experienced this? Am i overlooking something essential here?
And another thing while i'm here, how can i use fcom to select a previously commited flight? It says, press f7 to see commitments, and it will show a list, but i can't find any way to select from that list....
Thanks, T

Tronso,
I've not experienced the same issue.
What happens if you leave the Date section alone and just input your Departing Airport and Destination Airport (if you like)? Then see if after committing you get the mission to automatically pop up when you go into FS.
Also, see if when you get into FS if the time is being based on an older flight you might have saved as the default or such. Try to reset the time to the current time before flying.

I'm not having this problem. When I open Flight Dispatch, the date is correct. Are you sure that your PC date is correct?

Hi,
I have the same problem, the date is wrong, the date on my pc is correct, but when I fly in FS9 the FCOM shows 1day older. If I do a flight now the date would be 11.04.10 and not 12.04.10. This bug was on the beta version too. If I open flight dispatch to commit a flight the date is correct.
Thanks,
Christian

Thanks for your input! The date on my computer is correct, and I always fly with current date and time of day in the sim. If I leave the date in the dispatcher blank, I get an error ("That's an invalid day number"), so that's a no go. I played around with the dates too see what happened, and there's definitely something weird going on! Look at the screenshots. Example 1: Example 2: Example 3: My guess would be something with the localization format on the computer. Mine is Norwegian, that means the dateformat is dd.mm.yyyy. If i choose a flight from the fcom there's no issues, but I want to be able to use the administrator as I want the added planning. Hope someone involved get look into this.

I am the "someone involved" and I suspect you're being zapped by a date format issue. In theory the way I'm processing dates is not format-dependent, and works with Euro and American dates, but I'll look into the issue.

Hi Dutch, thats good!
However, I just ran into another problem today! I installed a couple of addon airports, Vaernes (ENVA) and Bergen (ENBR). After that i rebuilt the database in the administrator. My plan was to fly ENVA - ENBR, but according to FCOM ENBR doesn't exist! ok, i thought, I'll just fly somewhere else from ENVA. But then I saw that FCOM thinks I'm at ENKB, even though I'm sitting at gate 34 ENVA.
So now I can't use FSCaptain at all :-( I got the airports to up the realism alongside FScapt.... So that's where i want to fly.

I am working with another person now to solve add-on airport incompatibilities. Stay tuned.
