Congratulations Dutch on a fine product indeed, this is what i've been waiting for. Ok firstly i am running the 1.1 beta and have found a problem in the Flight Dispatch. Airport ICAO input fine, then Aircraft Type C172 Cessna Skyharwk 172Sp (default) and dates etc. when i find flights it comes back with very unrealistic ETE's. Eg: Flight 520 charter flight to YHBA from YBBN the distance is fine, but the ETE's are wrong, its saying ETE 0:18. Hell dont even know if a concorde could make it from the Gold Coast to Hervey bay in that time LOL. I've checked others for bogus ETE's but they all seem fine, and yes this is with default FSX aircraft. So it seems only the Cessna 172 ETE's are wrong. Hopefully this can be fixed and once again thanks for a great product and keep up the fine work

Just change climb/cruise/descent speed of that cessna through FSCaptain Administrator (Aircraft Characteristics tab) and you will be fine.

Thanks gfxlover for that quick response mate, but allas i just checked and those settings you posted are the same already set for the 172 in the Aircraft Characteristics. So back to the drawing board i guess unless Dutch can shed some light on it.
Cheers all

Forgot to add, those settings are pretty much the norm or very close enough for a 172 Cessna anyway.

Yep, you are right. I just checked that cruise speed at wikipedia and it says 122. Really strange.. I also tried the same route and plane and ETE is 1:28. I chose destination manually via F4.

Yup mate very strange indeed. Anyway i created an airport hub via the administrator for YBCG then ran flight dispatch again and low and behold even for some flights over 300nm with the C172 the ETE's were still ridiculous numbers like for eg. 313nm it says the ETE is 0:13 minutes flying time LOL All other aircraft i've tried in the Flight Dispatch seem to have ETE's pretty much ok so yeh very strange just the C172 being like this. Hopefully dutch can shed some light on this, although having a blast flying the rest of my planes nonetheless.

I think there's some problem with very-low-speed ETE calculations. Not sure yet but I'll try an reproduce this tonight. It's been a while since I tested it in a 172.
Stay tuned should have an answer tomorrow or thereabouts.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to reproduce this yet. Using the default C172 I get reasonable times in every situation I've tried so far.
It must be a characteristic of the particular airplane you are flying. Could you check the heading on Page 10 of the FCOM in your airplane and be sure the model is indeed C172, and then email me your C172.cfg file from inside the FSCaptain\Aircraft folder.
That may or may not solve this but it is a start.

Hi Dutch I did a complete reinstal of FSX just the other day, still reinstalling my addons, but i will reinstal FSCaptain next and will let you know. But as i remember it did happen to me both on default C172 and the Carenardo C172. Will let you know soon ... Cheers

1.1: Unrealistic ETE with Cessna is still there. Sorry.
New problems now: FSCaptain offers a flight from the destination to the destinationwith an ETE of 00:21.

Ok, after some experimenting: The unrealistic ETEs are ONLY present in the administrator. In FSX, they are fine. Hope this helps.

Helps tremendously. I was only testing in the actual sim not in administrator.
