I hope this makes sense/leads you in the right direction. Yes. First I think you're correct about the DST ("Summer Time," for Captains Abroad) change affecting simulator US times for several weeks around now and April. And getting back to one of your previous questions: Yes I do think that will make things better. Taking your example, if you've set to depart at 1630z and if FSCaptain would allow you to specify that as the departure time... when you load up at 1600z (or thereabouts) local time calculations will be out the window. You're on time. This will be a challenging change to make - one wrong step and a whole new family of bugs could emerge... some that might not be visible for quite a while. But it's something that's been long requested and needed to an extent. It will be an optional change - if you're not in the US and don't give a rat's patootie about our Summer Time difficulties, that's fine. I will need a good solid week of "no drama otherwise" to implement this... I'm guessing sometime in the 1.8 timeframe - which will be sooner than it sounds. I'm thinking after 1.7.2, there are some new features that need to be added.

Curious-- why would this have a negative impact outside of the US?

Curious-- why would this have a negative impact outside of the US? It wouldn't. It's just that the biggest impact would be from inside the US. More airports = more impact. That's all. If you're flying in a country with no Summer Time or Summer Time changes since circa 2006 - there's no impact whatsoever. As an aside I might give that updated time zone bgl a try too - just as an experiment.
