A copy of the projected upgrade to FSCaptain 1.1 is available on the website www.fscaptain.net now as a BETA. I decided to let folks test it a bit before making it official. Please give me feedback on the new features. This major upgrade will change the way you use FSCaptain! It's now much easier to schedule flights in the Administrator and then start then when you enter the cockpit and login to the FCOM. Timing on scheduled flights is no longer an issue! You still have to be at the right airport in the right aircraft type. But the dispatch process doesn't allocate an airplane to you, just a type. It's also very easy to fly the type of flight you want -- no more complicated rules on airplane type or pilot preferences. Whatever you pick on the screen is what you'll see. Your selection on the Flight Dispatch tab will override all other considerations even aircraft configuration. As requested in the Ideas board, an MS flight plan can be included in the dispatch planning process. Weather data is obtainable from inside the sim or from the NOAA website, with more options to come. I hope you enjoy the new features. Dutch

Thanks! Somehow I hadn't found that. I'm going to make them the primary internet source since their winds data is for every airport and relegate NOAA to a backup.

I installed the beta pack on my FS9 version and get an error:
"D:\FS9\FSCaptain\Bin\Admin.exe
The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log for more detail."
The event log has:
"Activation context generation failed for "D:\FS9\FSCaptain\Bin\Admin.exe". Dependent Assembly Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect ,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="67c7c14424d61b5b",type="win32",version="10.0.61242.0" could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis."
I don't use SimConnect because I don't use FSX...I have FS9.
Any insight? If I revert to 1.00.04, it runs fine.

I think I know what's causing this, but the solution may be that I need to two versions of Admin just like I have to have two versions of FCOM, because of SimConnect.
I need to do some research. Thanks for the report.
