Hi Dutch, 2 questions for you and thanks for the resize on the program screen.
On the airline definitions tab would be possible to set up the program so that you don't have to fill in all 10 spaces in the pay level section when adding your own airline. Some users creating a small regional or tramp cargo setup might only want to use 4-5 pay levels, reflecting the size of their operation.
Which leads to the 2nd question. Now that I've added my airline it doesn't show up in the list on the career tab where you seek employment. I haven't received a Reg key yet so I don't know if the problem is related to using the limited version or not.
Have a great weekend,
Al

Hi Al,
You're right about the pay levels -- I'll allow as few as two.
On the not appearing problem, I'll look into it. Did you save (apply) then restart the administrator? Right now I'm testing the CTD fix and it's looking good -- smooth as silk no problems for 3 flights now.

Following up on the creation of new airlines. I did a few and they all worked fine.
I clicked on "Create Airline", said "Yes" to whether to base it on another airline, then typed the new name of the airline (for example "Bilge") over the (newname) in the name box, and altered a few parameters and saved it. When I clicked on select airline again, Bilge.cfg was in the list of airlines and when loaded it had the parameters I entered.
Did you forget to type a new name maybe?

Actually, when it asked if I wanted to base on another airline I clicked on no and the program then left me with all the fields blank so I could fill them in. I filled in the info and parameters I wanted, clicked on save and then clicked on ok. When I clicked on ok the Administrator program did exit, which I thought was odd but figured that maybe you set it up that way. When I look in the folder that the cfg's for the airlines are in the ones I've tried to add are there, they just don't come up in the menu.
I'll try installing the newest update and try again. I've also been having the CTD issues mentioned in the other thread, can't get a ferry flight out of Olympia to save myself, so I need to get rid of that problem first.

Take a look in FSCaptain\Airlines and see if your airline is listed among the files there. Meanwhile, I'll try and see what happens when I do a blank one - I always base a new one on another. I'm lazy that way ...

Still no joy on adding airlines and having them show up in the admin menu . The cfg's show up in the FSCaptain/Airlines folder but refuse to show up in the selection window. After a little exploring I found a cfg file in the FSCaptain/Config folder named Base and low and behold it has a list of airlines, all of which are the ones that come with the program. I added some AIRLINE=****** lines with the names of my addon airlines, saved the new cfg, and now my airlines show up . Have any of the other testers had this issue or am I the only one? If it's only me I'll backup my new cfg's, do an uninstall, then start over and see if that fixed it. And now I have some questions about the Base.cfg file: What does the number after the airline name do? As in AIRLINE=Acme, 0 I installed FSCaptain to FSX only but at the top of the cfg it says SIMVERSION=9 Sorry for the long post, Al

I just tried to create a new airline and have the same issues that Al is having. When I create the airline it gives a .cfg file, but this file does not appear under the drop down lists to select a new airline from the FCOM Administrator. Doing as Al did by going into the Config folder and editing the entry allowed me to access the airline. It seems that when the .cfg is created, nothing gets added to the Base.cfg. Once an entry is added there is no problem in accessing it.
Al, regarding the number, it appears to be "0" is off, and "1" is on for which airline is the active one at the moment. If Acme=0 I bet this isn't who your flying for.

Correct, I verified this bug and fixed it. It'll go in a fixpack today along with the 301 false error fix.
You're right the active airline has a 1 next to it the others are all zero.
