Captains, UPDATE: The public beta is now closed and the 1.4 Release Candidate is here: www.fscaptain.net/downloads/Fixpack_10400.zipThis contains the FS9 beta version of the new FCDU replacement for the FCOM. There's no documentation yet except for a README but it should be intuitive for veterans of the FCOM who know their way around an FMC. The Documentation folder contains an updated 1.4 User Guide that will explain the new Appeals process and the Specify Flight Details dialog. Good luck and I hope you enjoy the new version! Dutch PS. Note there is a new tutorial in the Documentation folder you may enjoy reading and get a few tips from even if you are an FCOM veteran. It uses the new FCDU to make a flight from KPDK to KRNO.

Marty, you're fast!
So fast you may have caught a minor bug that was corrected quickly. If you saved an aircraft config in admin with the new 'water capable' flag off, it would be set on anyway. I fixed this quickly and uploaded a new Fixpack with the same name. If you see this bug bite you re-download and it'll go away. It's easy to fix the data anyway, just bring up the config again, uncheck, and save it and it'll stay off.

HaHa!
I removed the interface i had set for my PMDG 737 and although the landing lights and nav lights showed in the FCOM, the belt signs and galley stopped working.
I will test some more!

Quick easy question. When you look at the login page on the FCOM when in your NGX, does it say <PMDG 737NGX> underneath the SELF-TEST OK message?
If not it's not automatically detecting it.

That explains that.
Your FCOM.gau didn't update to the new release. It should say 1.03.02 BETA 1. hmmm...maybe extract the Fixpack to a temp folder and copy it over yourself? Not sure.
The correct copy of FCOM.gau should be dated Oct 12 with a time of 8:16AM, file size 1739KB.

That was it.
I think this was my fault though. I re-run the installer, this time with a right-click 'Run as administrator' and it updated the Gauge. I don't have UAC on, but it seems it needed extra admin to overwrite here.
The FCOM is now looking good and switches working. I like the new font, much clearer for me!
Just need to work on some Fuel burn figures for the NGX now as the company are being far to optimistic on there allowance!
Thanks again!
