FSCaptain 1.3.1 is available for download from the website. A Fixpack exists to upgrade any existing version, current users should use this rather than the entire download.
This is a major release containing a large number of new enhancements and many bug fixes over 1.3.0. It is essentially the same as the Beta 1 that's been available from the forums for while now. Some bug fixes and adjustments have been made and a couple of small enhancements added.
A list of enhancements and bug fixes from the README.txt file:
These enhancements are included with 1.03.01:
---------------------------------------------
- Ability to review, change, or add winds aloft data in detail.
- Ability to plan all legs of a multi-leg flight from the Administrator in advance.
- Cancelling or diverting a flight, or declaring an emergency for a mechanical problem that FSCaptain doesn't recognize will no longer incur a point penalty. If the problem is recognized and you land successfully you will receive bonus points. This only applies to mechanical problems - you will receive penalties for an unnecessary cancel or divert because of weather. Points subtracted in the past for such false emergencies will be retroactively refunded.
- A new "Practice Mode" will allow you to log your time spent developing your skills. To start a practice flight, select Ferry Mode but select your destination as the airport you are currently at. Fly anywhere and do anything. Time for the flight will be logged, your score will be the standard no-event 85 unless you bend metal in which case your score is likely to be far less. Flight Time will be logged as "Skill" on the flight log. You can only end and record your flight when safely back on the ground after flight.
- New Captain Sim 737 and 757 Interface.
- REX XML format files are now parsed.
- A Browse button has been added to the Weather Options dialog.
