Rick,
Thank you kindly for the complements - we like to cater to our customers when possible, and moreso when it's something that we've wanted to do ourselves.....
We now have the three categories for FA announcements - preflight, inflight, postflight.
There are 28 FA/Crew audios and 28 FA Announcements / Comments. (Some are variants.) Of those, 13 seem to be specific to FSCaptain - takeoff abort, is there a doctor onboard, belts on/off, refueling stop, we're diverting, going around, problem with the aircraft, emergency descent, brace for impact, prepare to evacuate, evacuate now, and the very popular "we're sorry for the problems on this flight" - that I'd like to keep enabled.
So that leaves us with 15 announcements in those three categories that can be skipped - welcome, safety drills, takeoff day, takeoff night, we're climbing out, electrical devices can be used, starting descent (with or without the belt sign on), day landing, night landing, we've arrived, prepare to unload.
We can tweak which audios are affected, so when the next RC is available (le sigh... when?) we can easily adjust.
As for the exits, there's a new global option to disable crew handling of doors as well as an airline option to disable handling as well.
And for anyone who is interested, there are two new INOP systems for aircraft... beacon lights and flap position signals. A new requirement starting with the next RC will be to have the beacons light on beforeloading engine starts and kept lit until after unloading engine shutdown has completed.
Why flaps? When using fluid deicing, you'll have to deploy your flaps so the fluids can get into those crevices. :-)
Regards,
