That is depressing (that the false flameouts are still being logged) but please enjoy the extra points in the meantime. I really need to get to the bottom of the flameout issue.......

I'm having a couple of issues with this interface:
1. The instructions say to add the gauge line to the VCockpit section of the panel.cfg. My Q400 has four VCockpit sections. Do I add the line to all of them?
2. I have done everything suggested in this thread, but my co-pilot still nags me a lot. And I am constantly being dinged 5 points for not setting standard pressure, even though I always do.
3. On the bright side, I got an extra 10 points on my last flight for completing a flight with a mechanical failure. The failure in question was the starboard breaking system that happened during taxi for takeoff. I could tell that the breaks were find and kept going. I ended up with a score of 105, a personal best. And that was after losing 5 for standard pressure.
Cheers,
Scott

If you're using one of the 1.6 FSCaptain versions, there's no need to install the XML gauge. The "internal interface" is of better quality, and will not allow older XML interfaces to function.
How are you setting pressure to standard? Are you clicking or fiddling with something in the VC, or are you using the old SHIFT-B keypress??
If you're not using the default keypress, I can only guess that in one of the later Q400 versions Majestic must have changed the behavior of how that's being transmitted. We currently only monitor the standard FSX signal.
Peter reported getting that "unjust" standard pressure penalty in the Q400 recently - Version 1.6.3 BETA 3 will allow the barometric altimeter to be considered as INOP in individual aircraft, so this could be muted in the future for aircraft which don't use the standard FSX signal.
I'll check the LVARs on the newer Q400 to see if there's anything that stands out as "here's the altimeter setting". If I can find that, then we can add that to the interface.
Any score that's above 100 (not exactly 100) will garner you more Quality (Appeal) points, so use them wisely. If you can find a flight where your score is 96-100 and you can banish a 5 point penalty, then you'll get more Quality Points for that!!

Hi Scott,
as Travis already wrote, I get that altimeter penalty on each flight, but when the next beta version will be released you will get the option to disable that penalty for the Dash 8.
@ Travis: I can't use Shift-B in the Dash 8, I have to use the VC dial.

Peter,
Do what you have to in the VC, but hit Shift-B immediately afterwards. Doing that should tell the simulator that you've changed.
I'll look for new and likely LVARs in my afternoon/evening....
