Hi,
I'm a long-time user of FSC and have always loudly trumpeted it's enormous value. However, 1.83 has taken me close to virtual self-harm! I won't go into the many problems I've had since I did a complete reinstall to 1.83, but suffice it to say that I've reached the end of my tether and need to revert. However, like an idiot, I find I must have deleted my old copies of FSC going back years. Would it be possible to get a copy of 1.82 which was the last version that was stable for me?
Sorry to be a pest...
Andy

Ah. Ignore me. If it wasn't already evident that I'm an idiot, this request provides ample demonstration. It is, of course in the 'Older' board.
Apologies,
Andy

Hi Andy, I am not sure if I understand you correctly, but if you refer to fscaptain.proboards.com/board/9/older-items , those links redirect to the latest installers, even if the text says otherwise. Travis probably has an older copy that he can share. Best, Peter

Ho hum. Back to square one. If Travis happens to pass by, I could still do with a copy of 1.82. I can't remember the last time I've been able to autoload a flight without getting dumped into the 'manifest or aircraft' loop. Latterly, I've had to resort to loading manually and simulating the FSC load. Never happened before 1.8.3 that I can recall.

I've had that "Reconciliation" screen appear from time to time, no rhyme or reason as to why.... What I usually do is to first click on MANIFEST>, and if that doesn't clear things up, to then click on AIRCRAFT>. I'll make a note to add an RTF> for LSK1R so that after an attempt or two, you can simply bypass this step. And if you post me an FCDU and FSCAPTAIN log of a seriously failed loading, I'll take a look to see if something jumps out at me. ----- I've been fighting a pretty tough round of insomnia for the past few months. I keep myself from doing anything that might be compromised due to my lack of focus / attention, so this is why FSCaptain work has slowed. Best,

Trav,
Sorry about your health woes ol' chap. I'm getting back into simming after a break of a couple of years and it's great to see you're still plugging away at development despite your various afflictions. Thanks for all you do. I hope Dutch is well.
I'm mildly encouraged to note that even you suffer from this reconciliation issue. For me, it's every flight bar none and I've resorted to the same solution as you. I'll email you some logs later today to see if you can shed some light.
Indeed, I've held off on reinstalling 1.82 as I do really like the improvements of the latest version so I've decided to persist and try to resolve my issue, which mainly centres on loading, load maps and all that merry jolity.
Take care
Andy

All,
We're working with Andy offline to check what the issue is.

There were two main issues, one of which was "news to me". (And therefore the hardest to find.) This main issue was that Andy had more than one aircraft configuration with the same "Name=" value... which caused confusion in the Administrator's | Flight Dispatch | Aircraft Type dropdown selector. Essentially, you can only have one entry in that dropdown with the same Type / Name / [optional registration code]. I'll note this in the User Guide, and after 1.8.4 Alpha I'll look to add a caution / guard in the Administrator, so circumstances like this will be brought to your attention... until corrected. Apart from that, I failed to load Andy's Load Map into the Administrator once we got to the point where that became an issue. I initially just looked at it in my text editor, completely missing the fact that the passenger load stations were set a zero priority... thus not changeable. That cost two or three days.... Anyway, after a took-too-long triage on my part, Andy is now able to make non-reconcilable flights!
Alpha development resumes tomorrow.
Best,
