Hi I've migrated my P3Dv4.5 installation away from the default Windows placing and I've now reinstalled FSC.
I have a couple of questions: - On the MCDU, before starting a flight one can go to Offline or Login or Select airport. If one goes to Offline, how does one get back to the Start screen in order to login? - How do I get rid of the annoying engine/APU type whine when the MCDU comes alive? It might be realistic for a jet or turboprop but it is out of place on a propliner.
regards Thomas

Hello Thomas,
1) MCDU: You click (twice, I think) on the INIT RST button. Alternatively, just restart the FCDU. If you are offline, you are not doing anything that will advance your FSCaptain career. 2) Sound: open the Administrator and go to :Profile and Settings"-> Media Control. Then un-check "Background".
Cheers, Peter

Hi Thomas,
If you look at your options.cfg file in a text editor, search for the key of "BACKGROUND_AIR".
If the value is 0, that noise should be disabled. If the value is 1, that noise should be enabled for all aircraft.
But if the value is 2, that noise should only be enabled for pressurized aircraft.
If you would only like to hear that only in pressurized turbojets, just let us know and I'll add a new value or two!
Best,

Hi Again
When firing up the FCDU I get a message which says something to the effect of "Invalid configuration for 'DC-3.cfg'. I believe this is related to the Load Map I want to use for this acft because when I try to create a Load Map I get the message "7/7 aircraft stations have bad values". How do I figure out what is bad about my aircraft stations?
Also, if the solution is dealt with in the FSC literature, could someone please direct me there? I find the amount of literature overwhelming.
regards Thomas

Hi Thomas,
this is probably a mismatch between the load stations of your actual DC3 model, and the load map in FSCaptain. If you want to try yourself, make sure that the number and total weight of each station in the load map matches the entry in the aircraft.cfg file of your DC3. If you want a little help, send us (see blue link below) a zip file with your r FSCaptain\Aircraft folder and the aircraft.cfg file of your airplane model (located in Simobjects/Airplanes/<Aircraft Folder>). Please send the email to all of us and copy the address of this thread into your message so that everyone on the FSCaptain team knows what the logs are for.
Cheers, Peter

Hi Thomas,
As Peter noted, we would need to see your FCDU logs to know what isn't matching. It could be you have defined an extra load station, or one too few. Ditto with active fuel tanks.
That "Station 7/7" error you mentioned is something that I should have disconnected before release. I can take a look at your load map if you send it over along with your aircraft.cfg file, and I'll manage any of my goof-ups.
Best,
