Well, I lost patience for something like FSC and took a chance on AirHauler 2 after researching all the possibilities, all 3-4 of them. Sadly, it is what it is--an airline company simulator for 95% of it with a token effort at enhancing your flying experience. It's sad because they do have a small element of what FSC can do in their 'flight monitor' feature, but it's terribly limited. Fortunately I'm pretty sure I can get a refund! It's ultimately a glorified spreadsheet! I really miss FSC in case you couldn't tell!
As for building a 'fleet', I only use a couple of planes so can cope w/ less than automagic ;o)

Sorry for the long wait, Noel. The good news is that Travis has now a computer that can run MSFS, which should help in making progress -- at least, as far as the SDK permits. A new SDK version was just released a few hours ago, we'll check it out this weekend.
Cheers, Peter

Thanks Peter! I see FSDreamTeam is showing a preview of GSX for MSFS so things are moving albeit slowly I understand! But yes this is good news even if only a wee bit of it! If n when Peter, Travis & Dutch, I will make it a personal effort to promote FSC wherever and whenever possible! From watching developer update it seems they are updating the SDK very regularly now so there's hope! Unfortunately the other related add-ons really don't enhance flying per se at all, which is ironic because it is argued that these apps add meaning to your flying. Well, sort of! About as much as entering results in a database would! Best Wishes I believe MSFS continues to improve steadily though sometimes not in ways everyone would prefer. Thanks for the update Peter!

Hi Noel, First, I need to say that I have always been truly appreciative of your (long-time) support of FSCaptain! I can understand the hole that's present because of not being able to use FSCaptain in MSFS, and I'm doing what I can to bridge that gap while also supporting FS9/FSX/P3D Captains too. (I'll need to install at lease one more SSD before installing MSFS on my new PC.) There are one or two more roadblocks to get around in order to have an FSCaptain release that's worthy of working with MSFS. ("LVAR" issues aside... I don't know how that will play out.) I don't want to be in a position to chase moving targets, if there are any.
There is only one showstopper-level roadblock that I need to get around in order to have an initial build for MSFS. (SDK and LVAR work aside.) You will get an email when I have something that's ready for testing, which I anticipate to occur after 1.8.3 SP1 Alpha 1. Best regards,

I had to make an account just to post on this thread. I've been lurking this thread since the beginning, patiently waiting for the news that FSCaptain had been released for MSFS so that I could buy it. I remember my dad buying FSCaptain for me 10+ years ago when I was a kid and immediately falling in love with it and I couldn't fly without it. I think the dispatch and ACARS systems were the things that made me enjoy FSCaptain the most, and like Noel said, there is nothing like FSCaptain on the market today. I've been searching for a replacement for X-Plane to no avail. Nothing that I've found offers all that FSCaptain does. I don't think anything can come close to FSCaptain and that is saying something!
If you're ever looking for more testers, I would love to offer my help! Looking forward to the release of FSCaptain for MSFS!

Hello Bandpilot, Peter is correct - kind thoughts from Captains such as yourself do help keep the boiler fires stoked! I believe you may have added several programmer-months to ye olde engine. Drop me an email and I'll make certain you get first dibs on any future testing for MSFS. I want to keep initial testing as 'invite-only' because of the real chance that something unexpected might crop up. There was some testing late last year, but it required lots of settings adjustments on the part of Test Captains which didn't go smoothly. The next test will come with a Full Installer so there will be a lower chance of headaches. Best,

Hi everyone, i am one of the many who eagerly await FSCaptain to conquer the skies of msfs. I would use FSCaptain in any state since there is nothing out there that can match it. I wish Microsoft and Asobo are by your side, if not, so must they be...

I'm glad that I could add some fuel to the fire for you guys I just sent you an email. Trust me, I know what's it like to program and test changes in a program, albeit it to a far lesser degree!

Hi Tyrianprime, Thanks for the kind words. Once we have the current build version ready, I will begin to implement the necessary changes to have FSCaptain work well with MSFS. I am famous for badly-gauged release dates, so all I can say is that it will be ready as soon as possible. But I really want to move to MSFS, so once everything else has been sorted out, I will move mountains to make FSCaptain for MSFS occur. With best regards,

Hi Noel,
Thank you kindly for your offer, but I have an unused 1TB (SATA) SSD sitting within arm's reach. (All cables, etc., are also nearby). I just need to finish my current tasks and take the "back door" off of my case to access the Power Unit, and it's easy-peasy from there. That would be a great location for all of my P3D data!
I do have an open M2 "spot" on my motherboard that I'd like to pop a 2TB drive into... maybe in a few months time. That would give me a standalone P3D drive as well as a standalone MSFS drive. Sweet!
Best,

I am famous for badly-gauged release dates, so all I can say is that it will be ready as soon as possible. I'm now thinking that early testing of a Full Installer that's MSFS-capable will occur sometime next month. I'll send out a "hello testers" email fairly soon with some updates on the current status and what to expect. Best regards,
