I was never real clear on something concerning Team assignment of ground units. If for example, I am using an FSX@WAR Sam, Do I add in my Teams_XXXX.cfg within USER folder
Vehicles=FSXatWarPack1_SAM_SA13_Desert_ops
OR
Vehicles=SAM-13D
into that respective Team listing. I am assuming I do not use anything from SimObjects.cfg as i do not see an exact reference to "FSXatWarPack1_SAM_SA13_Desert_ops" anywhere within it, only the Forest-mov version. Or is this incorrect, do I need to create another SimObject.cfg item that calls for specifically, "FSXatWarPack1_SAM_SA13_Desert_ops". Either or, what do I state in my Teams_XXX.cfg?
As best I can tell concerning aircraft I just use the atc_model. For example: Aircraft=F22
Thanks

You should be able to use either the name from SimObjects.cfg or the actual model title. The shorthand "SAM-13D" simply resolves to whatever in its object list it can find on the system. This system is so the same mission can be used on different systems with different model sets - usually, if you have FSX@War installed or not.
It seems like SAM-13D should resolve to the desert version and 13F should resolve to the forest version. If you wanted to change it in SImObjects.cfg there's nothing wrong with doing that, if you copy it to Config_USER it will be safe from updates wiping out your changes.
Hope that's clear.

Well.....I learn from specific examples. What I am trying to say is that I have "FSXatWarPack1_SAM_SA13_Desert_ops" running in my sim. I see this called out in your OEM Vehicles.cfg as SA-13D. I.E. In Vehicles.cfg I see SA-13D referencing to "FSXatWarPack1_SAM_SA13_Desert_ops".
What do I state in teams to allocate this sam to a team?
Vehicles=?

P.S. Using the GUI you have provided has helped a lot recently. Definately should have started using that earlier.

Either way should work, for simplcity I would use:
Vehicle=SA-13D
(No 's' a the end of vehicle)
