What do you mean by "Odds=100"?

I made an error I should have said "Priority" not "Odds". "Odds" controls the probability that an object will appear. 'Priority' is for the whole mission.
Review:
When defining a mission for FSCAI the MISSION statement sets the basic parameters for whether it will be presented to the pilot or not. For example:
MISSION=51001,Offered=L20A,Priority=100,Times=1,VolMin=0,VolMax=1,Name=SAR F-100 Down in PDJ,Score=10,Era=Southeast_Asia
If 'Priority' is less than 100 then you may not see the mission, it's randomly deselected. The VolMin and VolMax are used to prevent missions from being seen based on the "volume class" of an aircraft (how big it is) coded 1 (Tiny) to 5 (Huge). A mission with a priority=100 and Volmin=1 and Volmin=5 will always be presented, unless a REQUIREMENT statement later on sets a special condition that isn't met.

Ah, ok, I already guessed so...
Will check again with these settings (Priority 100 and VolMax=5).

Well, no, it´s not working. Aircraft is still too big.

Just a general question: How are the values for the aircraft-size ("VolMin=0,VolMax=1") defined? What is "0", what is "2", what is "5"?

Some pictures of a Close-Air Support-mission near LS08.
My wingmen dive towards the target.
I`m strafing a first ground target with 20mm.
Got him!!

Turning for another target.
Dropped a (TacPack) bomb.
More burning ground targets after my pass.

A pair of FSCAI-rockets found a target.
Calling it a day and turning home.
Short stop at L20A (because instructed by FCDU to do so, but couldn´t end my mission here).

Hey Hajo, nice shots! Whose Spad is that? Looks good. I've been flying night, low level strikes from a carrier in a Superhornet. Not exactly historically authentic lol... we'll just say we're stimulating a modern day Vietnam conflict . But the tactics work well, just like the Intruders used to do: drop down to a couple hundred feet at coast in, and have a pre-planned initial point that aligns me for a single ripple bomb run that'll do the most damage. Last couple have been really heavily defended targets in Hanoi, and a single 450kt pass at min alt works well. But then I got lazy heading for the tanker yesterday, since "there's not really any radar guided SAMs here (yet), I'll just climb now. Got shot down by a MiG-21. Now that was cool!

Just a general question: How are the values for the aircraft-size ("VolMin=0,VolMax=1") defined? What is "0", what is "2", what is "5"? HAJO Looking at the program code, the Volume Class is a code between 0 and 4 derived from the aircraft's empty weight as defined in the aircraft.cfg. Code 0 - under 5,000 LB Code 1 - 5,001 to 30,000 LB Code 2 - 30,001 to 90,000 LB Code 3 - 90,001 to 180,000 LB Code 4 - over 180,000 LB. VolMin=0,VolMax=4 covers every possible size. Dutch

stearmandriver: It´s the excellent A-1J by Tim "Piglet" Conrad. A quick Google-search should bring up various download-sources. I can really recommend the Skyraider, it´s a bit sluggish, but gets the job done! @dutch: Thank you! I have to check again my B52s Aircraft.cfg, but according to that numbers there is no reason why it shouldn´t work... HAJO

Yeah, checked, it´s about 180000lbs of empty weight - no idea why it´s still labelled "too big". I even deleted the "Heavy = 1"-line from the ATC-coding in the aircraft.cfg, but that didn´t help either.

Another bit of fun tonight. Launched from Yankee station for a single ship, night low-level strike on the Viet Tri bridge. I've been doing my own intel grunt work, planning an initial point for the course I'll fly the bomb run on, measuring the total length of the target area to figure out what interval I'll drop my bombs at to cover the whole target. It works amazingly well. But first... found a MiG! Or he found me. Jumped me as I was getting ready to tank before coast in. I obviously need to station my tanker further offshore lol. Got him with my last sidewinder. Look close in the fireball and you can see the distinctive MiG 17 tail as he passes me inverted, head to head. Nice controlled low-level bomb run. Night vision helps, not with targeting but with not running into things. Amazing how accurate this can be: Now we've just got to get back aboard in the black hole. Not my finest work... no grade 1 wire. Glad to be done though... FSCAI even scored me 13 out of 10 for getting that Mig!

Cool! Looks like I need to get a grip on doing carier operations as well... So far I used a (cheasy freeware) A-6, but took off "in country". For some other cool missions "up north" I could re-activate my F-111!

Got him with my last sidewinder. Look close in the fireball and you can see the distinctive MiG 17 tail as he passes me inverted, head to head. Glad you are having so much fun with FSCAI! Concerning the MiGs in SE Asia. I couldn't find an AI Mig-17 so used a Mig-15 model. They are very hard to tell apart unless you get close. If you know of a MiG-17 AI give me a link and I'll incorporate it. For the MiG-21 I use Ivan Jurcaga's MiG-21MF which was not flown until the late war years by the VPAF - in the 60s they flew MiG-21F13s which were guns-only. I don't have any of those flying at the present time. By default FSCAI equips the MiG-21 with all-aspect R-60 missiles which are not era authentic to SE Asia. To fix this use the Vehicles UI to bring up the MiG-21 and replace the weapon "R60-4" with "K13-2" and click on "Update Vehicle". This will give you 2 rear-aspect Atolls. (Of course, if you are flying an F-18 you probably should give the red pilots a little something to help even the odds, right?") You can also find some IL-28 transports or old AN-2 "bombers" flying around NVA airspace occasionally. I have a flyable version of the MiG-21MF with the RP-22 radar if anyone is interested in flying for the VPAF. I don't have many missions at NV airfields yet but I may create some. Dutch
