I´m currently flying with the F-5 Tiger by Tim "Piglet" Conrad. When I try to spawn hostile fighters, I get an error message, saying "Your Aircraft model (ATC_Model = F-5) is not in the database".

The problem with not being able to pick an opponent is that the atc_model is coded "F-5" not "F5" - remove the dash (in the aircraft.cfg) and it will work. Computers are very picky.
The issue with them flying low is a bug. They try and fly at the level of the user aircraft, but when the user aircraft is on the ground they need a minimum. there's supposed to be one but it doesn't look like it's working.

He kept a minimum of around 50-100ft above the ground, but due to his low speed he was even lower some time.
Thanks for the heads up concerning the ATC_Model! I will work this through.

Visual cone saved via FSCAI UI bug :
Maybe I tracked a cause of why AIs were losing sight of their targets in my tests. I was adding new vehicles (planes) for Korea War Era and noticed that though I was setting visual cone 160 & add as new vehicle, it would save it as 16 (ie, without 0). Tried to correct by updating vehicle to 160. When I checked back it was 16 again. Since AIs I used were new entries & not default, most of AIs had restricted vision cone. While, if I recall correctly, AIs default (P51D) performed ok... That explains a lot..
So I edited all my new vehicle entries manually at "vehicles.cfg" file in user_std folder.

Hi, Thanks for all those updatings. With the last 14 version... always the same odd behaviour with AI "friendly" airplanes that suddenly see me as target! Tried to change F18 with FA18, without success. Here is the log : FSCAI logfile.txt (10.42 KB)

BTW, could you add a small option to turn ON/OFF the log. It would be great to spare writing on my SSD... I would turn it ON to analyze issue only :-)
Cheers

Thanks for posting the paths to the sounds. I can see clearly what that problem is and it will be solved in the next release which will probably be today.
I believe the blue-on-blue issue is also corrected.

Hello FSCAI Airmen! Dutch does need your logs when really odd things happen, but I'd like to request that you attach your log files to your posts instead of posting the log contents inline. It just makes for easier reading. If your logfile's filename extension isn't supported by the forum, I'd suggest to either ZIP it or rename the log with a ".txt" extension. The preceding is not a command nor an order, only a suggestion. Best,
