Hi Dutch, great staff... but bugs of course...
1. User must have "makerunwys.exe" and the r5.csv file in his sim folder or else "Error". Probably this ain't standalone but requires FSCaptain
2. I get errors because a FSCAI/Historylog.bin is missing
3. I get Errors & crashes with Shift+F9 (Error code 0x7b location 5)
Despite above, I managed to have my first AI missile hiting me (followed by a sim crash though) and also created 1 wingman (definitely F-5A is not good for wingman). Quite promising when bugs shorted out...

Thanks Xpel for being one of the first to try it. 1. Yes it does use MakeRwys.exe - I need to include it with the installer. It is a standalone utility. Here is a link to a copy, download this zip file and copy the two files in it to the root of your sim folder, then execute MakeRwys.exe from there. It will run for a while with a progress dialog and when its done the "R5.csv" file will be created. 2. You shouldn't get errors about FSCAI/Historylog.bin being missing. Could you post the log from a session when you get the error? 3. Not sure why you're getting the crash with Shift-F9 either. A log (FSCAI\Logs) might help. Some basic questions. Are you using FSX or Prepar3d? Did you run the installer as "Administrator". If not, try the install again running it as administrator and see if that clears up some of these bugs. What is the path to your sim's root folder? Dutch

I always install & run from desctop (shortcats) as administrator my FSX (DX10).
Erroes occured : 1. As soon as I pitched up for take off & 2. After AI shot missile against me, followed by FSX crash 3-4 secs later.

Unless you are getting an in-game message, the log entry "ERROR: LoadLogBin not opened" is normal until you log a mission then it will go away. It can be ignored. You shouldn't be getting any message in the sim or from the UI about it.
Your FSX is installed in "Program Files (x86)" which is infamous for causing weird security-related problems in external programs. Running FSCAI as administrator should make those go away.
To confirm, you not only ran the installer as Administrator but you also are running FSCAI itself as administrator too?
The crash when the missile hit is mysterious, I wonder if it's related to DX10. FSCAI uses the FSX@War explosion effects (with their permission.) They shouldn't cause an issue though. Try this. Go to "Options" and make the user aircraft invulnerable. Then does it crash when the missile gets close? How about when you fire a missile at him and hit him?
I updated the installers to version 0.9.3 with the inclusion of Makerwys.exe and it will be automatically run if needed to create R5.csv. Glad you spotted that. Makerwys.exe is a free utility from Pete Dowson that many other programs use, including FSCaptain.

Tested with DX10, Simvar.exe, EZCA, Tacpack disabled (only accufeel running). Same results :
In game error when taking off & in game error (window) when AI fires the missile. Followed by FSX crash.
Another test : In game error has to do with "Shift+F9". After "Shift+8" FSX crashed.
I run FSCAI as admin also. I'll make more tests to locate/understand the problem...

Well... I conclude that it has something to do with the plane I used (kind of "franken" the way I have modded it on my pc) and some bad interaction with this Tacpack mod...
Using a default plane (P-51 racer), I didn't encounter errors (maybe once, not definite about this). I'll short it out the next couple of days.

We were engaging 3xP-51 vs 3xBF109. One BF109 blew up in the sky, but aircraft container was not
removed from the scene, so the attached VRS effect remain burning in the sky. I don't know If this concerns
Tacpack or FSCAI end, but you know that you can move also containers out of the scene, right ?

AIM-9bs function like all aspect. Checked in Weapons and value=0. 6 x times in a raw, head on, AI F-5 shoots AIM-9b and hits me, before we merge.
I also have an Error window when I'm hit and sim pauses. Error about sound gauge. I klick ok and sim resumes. This tested with TMAPed models only (F-5, P-51), so I'm not sure if is FSCAI related yet.

I found and fixed the bug with ground objects not being assigned to the correct team (or any team at all).
In rear-aspect missiles I found several flaws and fixed those. Mostly that it was figuring aspect continuously instead of only when launched...thus if the missile went unguided into the rear of the aircraft it would then sense it was in the rear, lock on, and track for a hit. Not correct behavior as I understand it. So I changed it to only look at aspect once, at the moment of launch.
Also, minor, but the seeker head noise wasn't looking at aspect and would falsely give a launch tone even when not in the rear.
However - the head-on missile launch by the AI couldn't be duplicated. The AI pilot wouldn't take a shot with AIM-9B until he got on my rear. He would with AIM-9P - which is the default config for the F5. I had to manually change it to AIM9B-2 in the database to test it.

I want to report 2 bugs : 1. 4xBF109s vs 4xTyphoons (1 is user - Not created as wingmen via FSCAI menu). If my initial spawn position is behind the 3 Typhoons, they will target on me, totally neglecting the BFs and they'll just pursuit me with bad intentions... If I spawn in front of the AI Typhoon formation, everything works ok ! 2. The "Check my Six" AI function : an AI Typhoon checked his Six where I was there and Targeted on me !... Two mins. later, he shot me down on a head on pass while I was going for a BF... From Log : So seems that 1. If your allied AIs can't "see" you at initial spawn, fixate on you, and 2. The "Check my six" AI function, enables user also for the allied AIs... /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Other than that, sweet !... Yes, I forgot to check teams in the new "check six" function! 0.9.7 fixes this and is now live for download.
I fixed several gun errors in 0.9.5 that made them ineffective, and now in 0.9.6 they are too deadly. Now you can be splashed too easily on the merge by them. Also fixed in 0.9.7.
Also, I, as the programmer of FSCAI, did not realize that the change I made to "check six" applies to all aircraft flying not just to those that FSCAI weaponizes. So, if you go in pursuit of a hapless airliner and get on his six he's likely to start taking evasive action to try and avoid you if you are an enemy. This wasn't intended but I decide to leave it in, however I've tried to make sure the commercial pilot's maneuvering has no roll or pitch enhancements like the combat airplanes do. He'll still be easy to get just not quite as easy as when they kept flying straight even when being shot at.
