Just another idea, would it be possible to link the active voicepack to the aircraft selected? That way we could have the right FA announcements with the right plane and/or livery.. (For example a B747 safety announcement in a 747 and a A320 announcement in A320 and so on..) Nice idea, and I'm sure we could put in a little work and make such happen. But... we only have one FA actor and her availability isn't as great as it used to be. I will say that we avoid having any "airline specific" mentions in any of the voice files simply because there are so many airlines out there that it would be impossible to offer even a limited range. (Heck, I fly for three fictional airlines.) I understand but we could make/download them ourselves for example if you change the safety announcement depending on the airline/airplane selected.. Or the best would be if you could add an option to use a computer generated voice? Which could pronounce both the airplane type ('welcome on this ... airline boeing 737) AND the destination + flight number (on the ... flight to Brussels). That would truly be awesome . I know there was a VA ACARS available that did this and it was really awesome.

Great product. I have a simple enhancement that shouldn't require much to code. Can you please add a button or clickable hotspot to the in-game gauge that gives it night lighting? Make the buttons light up white and add a little bit of an orange glow to the grey body of the ACARS unit, kind of how FS2Crew does their interface bar when you hit the LIGHT button. It is very hard to see the FCDU during night operations. I imagine there are wild animals with more graphic skills than I possess, but I will bounce an idea or two around with Dutch. It likely won't make it for 1.6.1 in any event, but it's a good idea - and one that was just recently offered by another Captain....

I understand but we could make/download them ourselves for example if you change the safety announcement depending on the airline/airplane selected.. That is actually possible to accomplish - the only drawback would be having a voice actor who could make all of the variations. I'll think on the possibilities though.... This also is in the realm of the possible. And if I were making FSCaptain for only me, I would jump on this immediately. I like TTS apps, as they can have greatly varied forms of feedback. In fact in my notes on this subject (from years ago) I envisioned the FO announcing our flight number, our destination, the current destination weather, etc. The catch here is that most Captains would only have one default MS voice on their systems, and IIRC, it wasn't very good. (I purchased several TTS voices years ago for use with Multi Crew Experience & VoxATC, so I haven't listened to the default voice in ages.) The one drawback to TTS voices is that they can't carry tone very well. If you check the FO_Role & FA_Role, you'll see that some voice-actions are meant to be conveyed as "urgent," etc. That's tough / impossible with TTS.... There are always options though, and I'll run some ideas past Dutch & Peter in the next few weeks.

I don't know but there might be some nice opportunities

If you guys want me to do a mockup of what the gauge should look like in Night Mode just say the word. I'll whip one out in a few hours. If you like it, use it.

Thank you kindly! I have an idea (in my head) of what I think it should look like, but please feel free to email us (see my signature) with any concepts that you would have.

Got it, and yes that does look to be in the realm of what I was thinking of.
All three of us are on different shifts for the next few days, so we likely can't get sync'ed up until next week. Until then I'll ping an airline captain that I know to ask about "certain effects."

To be honest I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but i'm gonna put in a word for it again: On the release form, that each fuel section is also converted into flight time, especially the total fuel on board and the trip fuel in time. This makes filing online flightplan much easier... Thx!

Are there any plans to have the ACARS window running on a tablet? I've got the ACARS window opened on another screen, but every time I press any button, the sound from FSX stops until I press my mouse in the cockpit area again. Otherwise a very good program, very pleased with it.

Can you post a mock-up of what you're referring to? Don't try to be exact in the times... dummy (placeholder) numbers will do. I can't imagine a flight lasting over 99.9 hours.

There is a payware utility (from Flight 1?) that will keep FSX's sound audible even if it's not the topmost window. But if you have a networked Windows tablet, you can install SimConnect there and through some configuration steps run the FCDU.EXE on the tablet and have it linked your FSX PC. I do that with my creaky old PC, and have thought seriously about getting a Windows tablet / Surface / touchscreen notebook mainly to have the FCDU be finger-powered. I did have a wild-n-crazy idea about a year ago that I'd like to return to sometime. I may bring it up with Dutch & Peter to get their impressions.

Well I think I mean the fightplan, where you havae the fuel section: Trip................... XX LBS Reserve.............. XX LBS Holding.................. XXX LBS Total.................... XX LBS If besides that (which is great btw), we ould have times also, so Trip................XX LBS, 40 mins Reserve.......... XX LBS, 30 mins Holding........... XX LBS, 30 mins Total.............. XX LBS, 1h 40 mins Can't remember which entries are there in the program - on my other computer, but this was the idea generally speaking. Otherwise LOVIN' it EDIT: OK got to my FS computer. I mean the Dispatch Release, and the section "Fuel Calculation" - MIN TAXI DEST ALT RSV HOLD If times could be calculated as explained above - sorry for the confusion! Mas
